This charming detached cottage is quietly tucked away on a steep hillside overlooking the village of Lynton and offers spectacular uninterrupted sea and coastal views.  The cottage provides an ideal all year round base for those wishing to explore the splendour of Exmoor.  Each of the delightful bedrooms offers views of the surrounding countryside and out to sea. The double bedroom has a large ensuite bathroom with underfloor heating and two further bedrooms each have twin beds and share a bathroom with separate shower cubicle. With a well equipped country  kitchen and a separate dining room with sea views, meal times will be special no matter what the season.  The cosy living room has underfloor heating and a wood burning stove for the cooler seasons and adjoins an additional small seating area with large bay windows to take advantage of the panorama.  This wonderful holiday home is ideal for couples and families alike and is also pet friendly.  A large utility area is ideal for pet beds and leads out to an enclosed patio area which together with the good sized lawned area provides plenty of space for outdoor dining or just having that relaxing drink at the end of the day.  The centre of the village with its choice of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and individual shops is just a short drive or an exhilarating down hill walk.  The famous funicular railway connects Lynton to the renowned twin village of Lynmouth with its old world charm and picturesque harbour whilst there is easy access to many Exmoor beauty spots.  Delightful Devon villages and interesting market towns as well as the Golden Coast beaches around Woolacombe and Croyde are all within a 40 minutes drive. Like many properties on Exmoor the cottage is situated on a steep narrow hill which inexperienced drivers may find intimidating.

Mr A,

This is our first time we have used Marsdens for booking a cottage and certainly will not be the last. From the booking to the end of our holiday, Marsdens have always kept us informed and been available to answer any queries. Our stay at Briar Cottage was superb. Lovely clean and roomy cottage with stunning views across Lynton and the Bristol channel to Wales. Our 2 Dogs loved the garden where they were safe and secure. We will certainly consider another visit to Briar Cottage and we both felt sad leaving. We have the new Marsdens cottages magazine already..But Briar cottage could be on top of our list!! Big thank you to you all at Marsdens and will be in touch soon

Mr B,
