Nestling on the hillside overlooking the pretty village of Lynton and looking out across to the magnificent coastal scenery and  spectacular seascape of the Exmoor coastline.  This character cottage offers these unique views from every main room and two patios at the front of the property provide a great outdoor space to appreciate the views whilst dining or just relaxing. On the ground floor a spacious open plan area provides a good sized living space with comfy seating, a woodburner for the cooler seasons and a dining space for meals in with family or friends. Two steps lead up to a well equipped kitchen with all you will need for your holiday. Two attractive bedrooms on the first floor offer flexible sleeping arrangements and each benefits from the wonderful sea and coastal views.  There is a family bathroom at the rear. Located within a few minutes downhill walk is the village and its amenities including a choice of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops (remember to give yourself longer on you walk back up hill to the property!). The village is surrounded by the splendour of the Exmoor National Park and there is easy access to exhilarating hillside walks, beautiful riverside walks and the South West Coastal path is closeby. Lynton offers its own recreation and sporting facilities including tennis courts, bowls and a small cinema. You don't need to venture far for the further facilities in the picturesque twin village of Lynmouth, which is accessed by the famous funicular railway. However this is also a great base to explore the rest of the National Park taking in its unique and diverse flora and fauna, visiting pretty hamlets and villages and finding character pubs where you can enjoy a local brew or locally sourced meal along the way. Less than an hour’s drive also takes you to the magnificent sandy surfing beaches of the Golden Coast including Woolacombe and Croyde.

We loved the location of Potters Cottage although it was a steep climb back from the town but we soon got used to it. Very comfortable beds with an amazing view. Good local facilities. Nicely appointed and wonderful views. Very quiet, no passing traffic.

Mr E,

This is a lovely property with amazing views. Close to the centre but on a quiet street above the village. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, a good shower, nice outdoor space for drinks in the evening, and a well equipped kitchen. Strongly recommend.

Dr C,
