Description

In a true Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this property comprises the well-proportioned wing of a 17th Century farmhouse on a 300 acre working farm. Guests looking to immerse themselves in the stunning North Devon countryside will be thrilled by the spectacular views, steep hills, woods, rivers and valleys right on the doorstep. A peaceful natural habitat for wildlife, Exmoor's famous red deer are regularly spotted in nearby fields.  Mannacott Farm is comfortably furnished and well-equipped for a country holiday. The large and atmospheric farmhouse kitchen has beamed ceilings, a feature stone fireplace and an original bread oven, whilst the lounge offers a cosy wood burner in a feature fireplace. Two large bedrooms and a good-sized bathroom complete the accommodation. A small south-facing side garden with table and chairs blends seamlessly into the meadows beyond. From here guests can walk to historic Hunters Inn right in the heart of the beautiful Heddon Valley, one of the deepest valleys in England. A further short walk along the river leads to Heddons Mouth and the sea. Parracombe with its village pub is three miles away.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Entrance hall. Living room with woodburner, TV and DVD. Kitchen/diner with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine and electric log effect fire. Bedroom 1 with Double. Bedroom 2 Double and 2'6" single. Bathroom with bath and electric shower over bath, heated towel rail, WC and basin.

Facilities and services: Linen and towels. NS heating. Logs available locally. WiFi. Children over 3 years only. Regret no pets.  Garden furniture. A small welcome tray with coffee, tea milk and biscuits is provided. No smoking. No Short breaks. Private off road parking. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.

Set in a quite surrounding on a peaceful farm, it makes a very welcome base to have. Local shops around 10 mins in car Very good and quite location. We have already booked return visit.
