Exmoor National Park Cottages
The stars shine brightest in Exmoor. And if you don’t believe us, then we should also tell you that Devon’s big hitting - but little - National Park was designated as the first International Dark Sky Reserve in Europe. What this means is that the area is unspoiled by light pollution. So if your idea of heaven is to gaze up in wonder at the universe, this is the place to do it. Hotspots are at Holdstone Hill, County Gate, Haddon Hill and Wimbleball Lake.
Exmoor is also a great place to cycle, walk, explore and relax by day too. At just 270 square miles it isn’t the largest of the national parks, but that means that all the good stuff is concentrated in a small area. And that means you can see a lot of it. Exmoor has native ponies that roam free. It has tumbling, trout-filled rivers, steep valleys, woods, stone clapper bridges, high sea cliffs (some of the highest in England), open moorland, tea rooms, steam railways, tiny churches and plenty of myths and legends in ‘Lorna Doone Country’.
We're sorry! We do not have any properties that meet your exact requirements.
Some tips for searching:
- Busy periods - during busy periods many of our properties only take bookings for seven nights. A short break holiday may not be available, try other dates.
- Changeover days - normal days to start your booking are Fridays and Saturdays (some Sundays). Try your seven night booking on one of those days during busy periods.
- Widen your search - you can expand the radius of your search by using the distance filter.
Please adjust your search and try again.
