Description

This delightful and surprisingly spacious cottage is just yards from the estuary seafront in the charming village of Appledore, tucked away in a quaint narrow street where some of the colourful neighbouring homes may date back as far as the 17th century. The delightful quayside offers a small but excellent range of pubs, shops and galleries and offers a host of activities from fishing trips and crabbing contests to Morris Dancing and book fairs. Step from the porch into an attractive hallway and through to a light filled dual aspect sitting/dining room, with underfloor heating and multi fuel burner to enjoy on cooler evenings. The stylish modern fitted kitchen is well equipped for all your needs and leads out onto the sunny enclosed south facing rear garden where stone steps lead up to a fabulous decked area perfect for al fresco meals or just relaxing in the warm summer evenings. Back inside the wide staircase and spacious galleried landing gives access to the stylish bedrooms and family bathroom.  For surfers the popular beach at Westward Ho! is just five minutes away and the cottage provides an outdoor utility room ideal for storage of wet suits and surfboards. There is so much to see and do in this fabulous area, with easy access to stunning beaches, pretty villages and beautiful Exmoor National Park, not forgetting family attractions such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way.  The choice is yours, but it is always good to return to the comfort of  Apple Tree Cottage at the end of the day.

Bedroom 2 with Twin. Bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, WC and basin.
