A lovely, large, two-storey apartment, this grand yet unpretentious accommodation offers plenty of space for a family getaway. It’s set in an impressive Regency manor house which enjoys panoramic views over lush green fields to the Taw Estuary and across the water to the hills beyond. Surrounded by 69 acres of pasture and woodland, the manor house offers a wide range of leisure amenities including an indoor swimming pool, snooker room and games facilities – making it perfect for an active yet relaxed family holiday in North Devon.

One of four apartments and two cottages in the complex, this apartment is arranged over two floors and provides spacious, family-friendly accommodation with a traditional, refined style. The living room has a large TV and DVD player for family film nights, while the L-shaped kitchen/diner has everything you need to cook up a feast after a day of adventures and enjoys lovely views over the garden. The property’s three bedrooms – two doubles and a twin – ensure a restful night’s sleep and share a large bathroom. Within the grounds, there is plenty to keep everyone occupied including a heated indoor swimming pool, a snooker room, a trampoline and a games area.

If you can tear yourself away from the apartment and the on-site facilities, there is plenty to see and do nearby. The market town of Barnstaple with its shops, restaurants and historic Pannier Market is 3 miles away, while the village of Braunton (4 miles) is known for its laid-back vibe, surf shops and cafes. For surfers and beach lovers, the golden sands of Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe are a huge draw and easily accessible from here, all being within 12 miles. Braunton Burrows (6 miles) are reputed to be England's biggest sand dune system and their lunar appearance is quite unusual when viewed from afar. They are a haven for nature and wildlife and a fascinating place to walk.
