Cooper’s Cottage is an attractive 16th century character cottage that has been renovated to a high standard and offers a wonderful village location for exploring North Devon's coast and countryside. Located in the quieter and characterful conservation area of the popular and vibrant village of Braunton, the cottage is within a short stroll of a variety of individual shops, cafes and restaurants and is serviced by a regular bus timetable to neighbouring beaches and towns.

The main door opens into the hallway with coat hooks and a basket for shoes. Off the hallway is a cosy open plan living/dining room which is attractively furnished with a mix of character features and modern day luxuries such as under floor heating. The dining area has seating for 4 and a useful desk/study area is available also.

A step up from the dining area leads into the well-equipped kitchen area which has been fitted with all that you will need including a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, small dishwasher and washing machine. The bathroom and WC is situated at the far end of the kitchen.

A stable glazed door leads to the fully enclosed courtyard which has a bench and pretty bistro set for you to enjoy sunny days in.

On the first floor there are two attractive bedrooms.  A master double to the front has an upholstered storage bed, bedside drawers, dressing area and wardrobe plus small ensuite shower room. A further smaller double is to the rear and has a chest of drawers, vanity mirror, bedside table and clothes hooks.

Braunton is the gateway to a choice of magnificent surfing beaches including Saunton and Croyde Bay and with the Tarka Trail running through the village there are miles of level cycle ways (cycle hire available in the village) and footpaths around the estuary towards Barnstaple and Instow. Exmoor National Park is within 30 minutes' drive with wonderful coastal and inland walks in all directions. Opportunities for horse riding and fishing are plentiful and visitors are always thrilled to see the unique Exmoor ponies on the high moorlands.

A beautiful well maintained property which has been furnished to a high standard. It was very handy for walking into Braunton where there is a good selection of shops and restaurants.

Mr J,

We had a lovely week at Coopers Cottage, very centrally located and a great base to explore all surrounding areas (Woolacombe, Croyde, Clovelly etc.) The only downside was there is no parking attached to the property and it is a bit of a lottery to see if there is a space to park nearby, however it did not detract from the fact that Coopers Cottage is a lovely cottage, very well equipped and comfortable.

Mrs S,
