Situated just a short stroll from the village centre of Braunton this recently renovated property also has private parking for 3 cars. With its choice of unique shops, pubs, restaurants and places of interest, the large village of Braunton is an ideal location for visitors looking for family accommodation close to the superb surfing beaches of Saunton and Croyde. The coastal resort of Ilfracombe and stunning expanse of Exmoor are also easily accessible. For golfing enthusiasts two championship golf courses at Saunton Golf Club are within a 10 minute drive. Hygge has been renovated to a high standard and is surprisingly spacious with laminate flooring and multiple aspect windows creating a light and airy feel. The new and well equipped kitchen includes a double oven and space for preparing hearty family meals which can then be enjoyed together around the table in the dining area. The kitchen also has a breakfast bar with two stools. The ground floor itself is partially open-planned which, in addition to clever designing and a separate snug/TV/ playroom, provides alternative spaces for relaxation and recreation. There is also a handy ground floor shower room with WC and separate utility area.
Cosy evenings can be enjoyed in the living room which has comfortable seating and a multi-fuel wood burner. The property also has full central heating throughout so no matter what time of the year you visit a warm welcome awaits. French doors lead out to a small patio and the private parking area. Stairs with handrails lead up to a spacious, dual aspect landing where you will also find three bedrooms. There are two king beds one of which has a zip and link option to a twin and the third bedroom is a twin - but again a zip and link option into a king is also possible. The family bathroom has a fully enclosed shower over the bath, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
Outside 16 steep steps take you up to the garden which has flowers beds and a small lawned area leading to a secluded suntrap patio with garden furniture. A hot and cold outside shower is located at the back of the house - handy for rinsing down after a trip to the beach. If you are looking for a convenient holiday base, close to all amenities (including a family friendly pub opposite serving delicious home cooked meals) and within a few minutes’ drive to superb sandy beaches, then Hygge will provide all this and more.
In case you were wondering....The Danish name Hygge does not have a single word meaning. It is a feeling evoked when enjoying the good things in life. It's creating a warm atmosphere, appreciating the small moments and feeling content with life.

Great location with good facilities, good heating system and great shower, well equipped kitchen.
Very nice well equipped house and also very comfortable. The second tv with PlayStation and huge choice of games, dvds, books and board games was really nice for a family holiday. Beds were superb which was nice as we suffer with bad backs. Real home from home and would certainly stay here again and recommend.
Loved everything about this property. Good location, good quality appliances , equipment etc. Lovely welcome pack. We’ve stayed in other Braunton properties previously but this is our favourite. Definitely want to rent this property again!!
Very nice and well equipped house, decor lovely, good space for a family and very comfortable.
We had a lovely time, the house was perfect for us especially our 13 month old twin grandchildren. The area is nice with good beaches. We especially liked the fish and chips from Squires Really nice house in a good location. The welcome pack was great
Braunton is a great base for North Devon. Good dog friendly pubs, excellent restaurants and easy drive to most areas. Hygge was fantastic for us. Modernised cottage, clean, large, comfortable and had everything we needed for 6 of us. Plenty of room, good WiFi, smart TV. There is a great enclosed yard which has the sun all evening and is sheltered from the wind. A great stay and highly recommended.
