Description

This surprisingly spacious two-bedroom apartment is conveniently situated in the heart of Combe Martin village.  Located within easy walking distance of the well-stocked village shops and family friendly pubs serving home cooked food, it has been cleverly designed to take in both the 2nd and 3rd floors of the apartment building.  The accommodation itself is accessed either by carpeted stairs or lift, with the living areas on the upper floor to take in the sea and countryside views.

Once inside the double door entrance of this apartment you will immediately feel at home.  Hang up your coat and take in the light and roomy interior.  Everything is as it should be to make this a home away from home.  There are beautiful prints on the walls, the décor is clean and fresh and there are good quality furnishings throughout. Leading off the carpeted hallway is the family bathroom, with shower over the bath, glass shower screen, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail. A large window allows plenty of natural light to flood in.  Both bedrooms are also located on this level.  Bedroom 2 is a double. This good size room includes a built-in wardrobe, large chest of drawers and patio doors leading out onto the balcony with bistro table and chairs from which to enjoy views of the valley to the sea beyond. Bedroom one is next door.  This room has a super-king bed with zip ‘n’ link option to twin (on request at time of booking).  Again, this room has quality furnishings including dressing table, chest of drawers and good size walk-in wardrobe. There are hillside views to the side with cottages and houses nestling in the valley and distant sea views beyond the village.  This bedroom benefits from its own en-suite with walk-in rain shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail. The under stairs cupboard incorporates the washing machine.

Carpeted stairs lead up to the open plan kitchen, living area where a cleverly designed window from the landing gives you a glimpse into the surprisingly spacious seating/dining room beyond.  Incorporating the whole of this floor and with light flooding in from 3 windows and patio doors the whole space is bright, airy and comfortable.  The view from the kitchen window will make washing up a pleasure – even if you don’t use the dishwasher! This well-designed room has plenty of storage cupboards and worktop space, tiled flooring and spotlights. The living room is a great social environment and the open plan design means conversation can flow from food preparation to dishing up at the table where dual aspect views can be enjoyed. Two comfy leather sofas and a leather chair allow you to simply sit and take in the views. The thoughtful owner has included a selection of books, games, DVDs and CDs. There is also a Smart TV and DVD player, so you can relax in any way you choose. Stripped floorboards, oak furnishings, lamps, a large coffee table and smaller occasional tables all help make this a comfortable and cosy room.

This apartment is ideal for friends or family to enjoy time together. The main High Street leads down to the small beach and picks up the coastal footpath from where you can ramble whilst overlooking the sea. The Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe and family attractions of Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park and Exmoor Zoo are just  short drives away, whilst the stunning scenery, flora and fauna of Exmoor National Park is also easily accessed.
