Description

Lorna Doone apartments are a great choice for a family get-a-way at any time of the year, nestled between the main village with it’s pubs, shops and cafes and the popular surfing beach of Croyde. Breath taking walks can be enjoyed from your doorstep, around the rugged National Trust coastline at Baggy Point or across the dune backed sandy beach towards Saunton Sands. The larger village of Braunton, is 15 minutes’ drive, and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants whilst the market town of Barnstaple is a further 10 minutes with it’s larger superstores, restaurants, cinema and Theatre. Local family attractions, including, Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife Park and Ilfracombe aquarium are all within a scenic drive away.

Number 4 has recently been refurbished providing quality accommodation on the first floor of an impressive detached property, with large communal grounds, offering space for outdoor games. The open plan kitchen/living/dining area has been decorated in a seaside theme with comfy sofas, white walls and two sets of patio doors to the balcony, where guests can enjoy an alfresco meal or just relax with a glass of wine whilst admiring the sunset. The modern fitted kitchen, has everything you should need with, built in dishwasher, induction hob and combi oven.

The three bedrooms and bathroom are all off the main hallway, the spacious master bedroom benefits from an ensuite shower room with Raindance shower head. Bedroom 2 has a double with large chest of drawers, and the third child’s bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, although the property does only accommodate six guests. The family sized bathroom has a shower over the bath, heated towel rail and laundry cupboard housing the washer/dryer.

Apt 4 Lorna Doone is in a perfect location for the beach and walking distance to Croyde village centre. The apartment is a very nice layout and well specified. Bonus, being first floor, was see view in the not so far distance. Rarely needed to use the car. Would have no hesitation booking again.
