This lovely apartment overlooking the Taw & Torridge estuary, is just 100 yards from the beach yet close to all the village amenities of Instow.  Situated on the top floor of a two storey detached building, this apartment has been refurbished for the 2019 season and offers every comfort you will need.  The apartment has a light and airy feel and is furnished in an attractive contemporary style throughout. The living room is very comfortable whilst being stylish and modern and the views of the estuary are wonderful. Patio doors lead onto a balcony complete with relaxing chairs and a cocktail table giving guests the chance to further enjoy these views over the estuary to the historic fishing port of Appledore, a wonderful vantage point from which to experience a leisurely breakfast or a stunning sunset. From the living room an archway leads to a fully fitted high quality kitchen/diner. Two attractive bedrooms, both have views overlooking the surrounding mature gardens. An attractive, retro-style, fully tiled black and white bathroom is adjacent. Shared use of landscaped communal grounds with lawns, shrubs and walkways is also available. A popular water-sports location, Instow also offers a small selection of shops, pubs and restaurants serving excellent food. With easy access to the Tarka Trail nearby this is an ideal setting for walking and cycling enthusiasts. The comprehensive market town amenities of Barnstaple and Bideford and the surfing sands at Westward Ho! are all within 20 minutes drive.

Accommodation: Internal stairs to first floor. Living room with flat screen TV, Sky + Package (not sport or films), DVD and iPod dock.  Kitchen/diner with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Bedroom 1 with Double. Bedroom 2 with Twin. Bathroom with bath, hand held shower attachment WC and basin.

Facilities and Services: Gas CH, WiFi. No smoking. Regret no pets. Bed linen and towels provided. No cot available, please bring your own. Patio furniture. Allocated private parking for 1 car, further parking available. No short breaks . 2pm arrival .Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday



Very clean and tidy property, plenty of kitchen equipment etc. This is the second time we have stayed in this particular apartment and it is in a brilliant location and very comfortable.

Perfectly placed on the edge of Instow, with the beach, prom and shop within a minutes' walk, Stars Cove is also only a few yards from the Tarka Trail, a former railway line level and traffic-free delight for cyclists and walkers alongside the Rivers Torridge and Taw. From the lounge, there's a delightful view over the sailing club and river to Appledore. Watching the sun go down and the lights coming on in Appledore with their reflections in the river is a lovely way to unwind in the evenings. The apartment benefits from the owning family having used it extensively themselves, so it's equipped with everything they needed which means it's sensibly and thoughtfully set up for most visitors, too. There's no kitchen cupboards full of the owners' cast-offs like holiday-impractical jelly moulds and gravy boats here! The apartment's also clean and smartly presented and the housekeeper is friendly and helpful if anything needs sorting out. We've stayed here before and, so long as it's still available, we know we'll be back for more than one stay again in future.
