This charming holiday home is located in the quiet village of Northam and equidistant from the popular coastal resorts of Appledore and Westward Ho! (1.5 miles). It’s a perfect base for exploring the South West Coast Path (1.5 miles) and discovering Devon’s popular Heritage Coast on foot. Sporty visitors can enjoy golf, horse riding and a variety of water sports in the nearby area (1 mile). Up to four humans and two doggie guests are welcome to stay in this renovated period building, which would also be ideal for a romantic getaway.

The ground floor comprises a welcoming living/eating area with board games available for a fun activity in the evenings plus a Smart TV. Enjoy a soothing decor of grey and yellow tones with tasteful furniture and artwork adorning the walls. Chilly evenings? Stoke up the wood burner, located within a charming stone inglenook fireplace. The modern country kitchen is ideal for meal prep and rustling up yummy sandwiches for tomorrow’s picnic, and offers a lovely view of the seating area outside. In mild weather, the courtyard which is enclosed is a fantastic spot for lapping up the fresh air with the dogs, with two seating areas and a well-kept lawn for children to play on.

You’ll have a few shops and a pub in the village (under 1 mile) and further options for meals out in Westward Ho! and Appledore. Northam Burrows Country Park and Nature Reserve (1.5 miles) beckons as a wonderful national spot for walking the dogs and absorbing the blissful surroundings. At Bideford (2 miles), you can join the Tarka Trail, a 180-mile loop of unspoiled countryside you can explore on foot or by bike.

The cottage was ideally located, comfortable & well equipped. The only issue is the parking, it is described as ample but we struggled on some days to park on the road. There is only parking on one side & the street is extremely narrow, there is a a turning circle but sometimes this was blocked by residents.

A wonderful cottage and very well equipped. All you need for your stay. Lovely sunny garden to sit out in and have a BBQ. A great place to explore North Devon.

Very dog friendly, small but well-laid out kitchen, great to be able to use the log burner, excellent beach and burrows nearby for walking.
