Situated in the pretty hamlet of Putsborough this spacious detached home is just less than half a mile away from the glorious sandy beach perfect for walking your pets, surfing, or rock pooling.  The stunning headland and coastal path is within walking distance, and the homeowner even provides a pass to the beach so you have free car parking. 

A large, gated driveway with plenty of private off-road parking leads to a spacious porchway ideal for shoes, wellies, pushchairs, and buckets and spades. The bespoke kitchen is a wonderful place to gather and plan the day ahead or prepare meals. And there’s a lovely dining room adjacent for relaxed get-togethers or a special evening meal. There is plenty of room for the whole family, whether you need a quiet place to read or a place to enjoy precious time with family and friends. The good-sized main living room has Sky TV and a DVD player, and there are cosy corners in the large rear hallway as well as a first-floor snug with a TV and bed settee for alternative sleeping arrangements. Two staircases at either end of the property lead to the first floor where two attractive bedrooms await, a king-size and a twin, each with a TV. The king-size has a spacious en-suite bathroom with a separate shower cubicle. The final bedroom is a ground-floor double with an adjacent bathroom and an additional WC off the utility area – this ensures there are plenty of facilities. There is a warm outside shower for those 'apres surf' days and across the gated driveway is a fully enclosed mature lawned garden with a large patio. This safe outdoor space has a Weber BBQ and is ideal for relaxed al fresco dining, sunbathing on the reclining sun loungers and general chilling! The hamlet of Putsborough offers old-world charm, with its thatched cottages, stream and ford, and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet it’s only a 0.5-mile walk from your cottage across a private footpath to Putsborough Sands. With Woolacombe Beach and Croyde Bay 4 miles and 1.5 miles away respectively, you’ll be truly spoiled for choice when it comes to sandy shores. Braunton (4 miles), where you can visit the local shops and eateries.  From April 2024 the property will sleep 7, the snug room will now have a single bed.  EV charger available from April 24 payable direct to Homeowner.

This was our second visit to The Anchorage and it didnt disappoint. A wonderfully appointed and perfectly situated home from home. Super dog friendly and what a bonus to have Putsborough Beach Parking included. We hope to be back soon!

The Anchorage was perfect for us as a family of four with a dog with grandparents in the campsite near the beach. The location is ideal, the house itself could not have been better with a beautiful and enclosed garden and it being really well equipped inside. Would definitely recommend.
