KNELLE LODGE APARTMENTS – SAUNTON.

As you take the turning towards Saunton Beach the breath taking view of golden sand and surf cannot fail to impress – it truly is amazing.  Knelle Lodge Apartments are superbly located just above the beach facilities at Saunton, a two minute walk away.

Apartment 4

Parking for the apartments is at the front and the left hand steps and path take you to Apartment 4. The side (main) entrance to this ground floor apartment leads you directly into the spacious open plan living/kitchen /dining room.  The good quality, fully equipped kitchen also includes a Lavazza coffee machine and Dualit toaster. Wooden worktops and light coloured units create a pleasant food preparation space with shelving directly above.  There is a dining table and chairs. The comfortable living area has a TV and wood burner for cooler evenings.  Outside a small bistro table and chairs is ideal for enjoying morning coffees. Sheltered by the high natural rock face this secluded spot also offers distant sea views. The bedroom is a good size with zip ‘n’ link super king available as twin beds on request. Please request bed configuration at time of booking. A Separate shower room has walk-in shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail. Full central heating is provided throughout creating a warm and cosy environment whatever the season.

A secure storage unit at the back of the property is ideal for wet suits and surfboards with a handy cold shower adjacent.  To the front there is a communal lawn area. A couple of minute’s downhill walk brings you straight to the beach.  With 3.5 miles of golden sands there is plenty of space to call your own.  Whether you are a toe dipper or fully fledged surfer, the fabulous waves create great fun.  

Saunton is a family and pet friendly location particular popular with water and beach sport enthusiasts. Light refreshments and snacks are available from the seasonal Saunton Break Café whilst the Beachside Grill provides meals up until 9pm (check website for winter opening).  Local hotel facilities are also nearby. Beach Huts and deckchairs can be hired on a daily basis (in season) and for those wanting to take the plunge wet suits, surfboards and even surf lessons are available.  Set within an UNESCO Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Saunton is also ideal for those wishing to explore Braunton Burrows, enjoy a beach walk to Crow Point or even play a round on the famous championship golf course nearby.

The property location is wonderfully close to the beach. Saunton sands is a dog friendly beach all year around and is such a beautiful beach. I was able to walk our dog every morning for our usual 6am walk and see the surfers and then back to the accommodation for a lovely cup of tea. Whilst staying here we visited Clovelly, tintagel, lands end, st Michaels Mount, Lynton/Lynmouth as well as walks along baggy point from croyde bay to woolacombe beach and also to Watersmeet. Such a fab location!

A really spacious,bright and airy one bed apartment. Lovely original features gave the place plenty of character! Perfect location to Saunton Sands and the surrounding towns of Croyde and Braunton being such a short drive away was great. Would definitely return!
