Surrounded by wildlife, this cosy property is ideal for solo travellers or couples who want to relax and recharge in a rural retreat. Offering panoramic country views, the self-contained annexe is a tranquil retreat yet within easy reach of the North Devon coast, Exmoor National Park and excellent eateries of Ilfracombe.

Attached to the owner’s home, this lovely property has been designed to create a welcoming getaway at all times of the year. It’s set on the ground floor and has sloping ceilings and exposed beams throughout. The conservatory is a perfect spot for enjoying the peace and quiet, perhaps with a morning cuppa and a newspaper, while the wood burner in the kitchen/diner will warm those chillier evenings. This space offers everything you’ll need to prepare romantic meals, with a small dining set to the side. In the lounge there’s a comfortable corner sofa and a Smart TV; great for snuggling up and enjoying a night in. The double bedroom has a Smart TV and dressing area with ample storage, full-length mirror and desk/dressing table, and your shower room has plenty of built-in storage. A private, south-west-facing patio area completes the picture. This delightful space is furnished with a table and chairs for al fresco meals in the sunshine, and you may also wander the shared garden which has a beautiful lawn and an uncovered Koi carp pond.

Set just on the outskirts of the pretty village of West Down, this holiday destination is 3 miles from Woolacombe Beach and 6 miles from Saunton Sands - where you’ll find a world-famous golf course as well as a huge stretch of golden beach. For a range of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs, an award-winning aquarium and sheltered beaches, Ilfracombe is only 3.5 miles.

A really gorgeous cottage, very well equipped with everything one could need. Comfortable warm cosy. Absolutely spotless and in tip top condition. Lovely view of garden and hills beyond from the windows, and so quiet! Yet within minutes drive from the stunning North Devon coast. Cannot find any fault and highly recommend to any couples

Very well equipped property in a quiet location. Kristina was very welcoming and helpful. Nice welcoming pack with tea, coffee etc provided. I particularly enjoyed the wine after a long drive. We wanted a small place to stay in Devon and looked at a few options but The Hide was a treasure. Kristina, the owner was very welcoming and helpful with advice. The accommodation was excellent, to a very high standard, with everything we could possibly require during our stay.

Brilliant accommodation , very well equipped and perfect for two. Great walk at Torrs Park coastal path. Wish we had done it years ago before the knees gave out. Total home from home, stunning property in a stunning location, centrally situated for visiting other areas, popped over the border to Widemouth Bay for a pastie. You can't go wrong to book a holiday here. Well equipped and comfortable.

What a week! Superb weather, lovely cottage, so peaceful and loved watching the birds. Great location to visit all in North Devon. The Crown is very good for food and The Dolphin in Ilfracombe is the best for Fish and Chips. Thank you Kristina and Paul.

The acid test is, would we come again? - Definitely. We got hit by storm Noa, but what a lovely outlook to watch from the conservatory, The Woodpecker kept coming down to visit. This property is so well equipped, and so much space, beautifully presented in a lovely location, what is not to like? Plenty of good place to visit in easy reach. Beautiful house, lovely garden, amazing setting. The Perfect place to unwind from City Life. Well positioned for the glorious beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton. We'll miss all the wildlife here, particularly the hedgehogs, birds and woodpeckers. We've had a wonderful holiday, walking, drinking, and surfing. Everything was good from the comfortable bed and storage to the quality of the furnishings. The location was idyllic - views to die for and the wildlife superb. Kristina and Paul made us very welcome - providing us with most welcome treats on our arrival.

A lovely and tranquil setting to come back to after a day out - also on the days when the weather was not so good. Well equipped and laid out. North Devon coast is stunningly beautiful - great walks and beaches, many memories especially with our children when they were young.
