The Beach House  is a newly built, high quality beach villa on a small exclusive development located between the popular surfing resort of Westward Ho! and Northam Burrows Country Park. This 4 acre site offers private access to Northam Burrows which is part of the UK's first designated UNESCO Biosphere and adjoins the Royal North Devon Golf Club.  The Golf Club can rightly claim to be the cradle of English Golf. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in the country and is regarded as the St Andrews of the South.  It has recently been placed in Golf World 's "Top 100 Courses in the World".  These attractive properties have been designed to take advantage of the stunning countryside and coastal vistas.  Ideal for a relaxing beach holiday or for those wishing to enjoy more active pursuits.  There are delightful walks to be enjoyed across Northam Burrows Nature Reserve and along the National Trust Coastal path, which extends as far as Cornwall.  Care has been taken in both the external and internal design of each property to ensure each feels unique by using different designs and external finishes and the use of high quality fixtures and fittings in the internal design together with contemporary soft furnishings will give a luxurious feel in a modern contemporary style.   

The property is situated at the end of a cul de sac with excellent parking facilities for 3 cars.  All the bedrooms have wooden shutters at all the windows internally and two have stunning vaulted ceilings that add to the character of the property. On entering the property you are welcomed to an impressive, bright and spacious open plan living area.  The lounge is a spacious family room complete with wood-burner for those cosy nights in.  From the lounge you can open bi-fold doors to the garden and extend your entertaining space.  The well-designed kitchen area has been fitted using high quality contemporary designed units and is complemented by a  comfortable dining suite ideal for both informal and formal meals to plan the day ahead or talk about the experiences of the day.  There is a useful utility room with a door to the outside, ideal for keeping your beach equipment and outdoor wear .  A ground floor double bedroom with en-suite is ideal if a member of your party has mobility issues.  This room also has bi-fold doors to a lovely patio area.  On the first floor there is a good size master bedroom with an en-suite shower room and bi-fold doors leading out to a balcony with seating for two, looking out over the beautiful countryside.  A perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down.  The second bedroom on the first floor is a spacious room with ample space for a King and bunk beds.  A superb family bathroom completes the internal accommodation. A small enclosed lawned garden with patio areas provide a great space to relax and enjoy outdoor living with friends and family.

This prime coastal location is within easy walking distance of the beach and all village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Just perfect for an activity holiday, the 2 mile stretch of golden sand offers an opportunity to enjoy surfing, wind surfing, kayaking and kite surfing and the blue flag beach is ideal for families. Westward Ho! is a resort for all seasons and there is also so much more to explore within easy driving distance including pretty coastal villages, the incredible landscapes of The Hartland Peninsula, the historic fishing village of Appledore and the Elizabethan port town of Bideford. Many local attractions for the young and the young at heart provide wonderful days out no matter what the weather and includes RHS Gardens Rosemoor, The Milky Way, The Big Sheep and Dartington Crystal.

Open plan living space including Lounge with wood-burner, Smart TV and Sonos sound system.   Kitchen area with Halogen Induction hob, electric oven, pop up extractor, dishwasher, microwave, American style fridge/freezer(with water and ice dispenser) and an instant boiling water tap(care needed) .Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.   Bedroom 1 with King,TV and en-suite shower with WC and basin. First Floor: Bedroom 2 with Superking and en-suite shower with WC and basin.  Bed 3 with King and bunk beds(suitable for children only). Bathroom  with bath, hand held shower attachment, WC and basin.

Facilities: Linen and towels, Gas CH Underfloor,  Wi Fi broadband.  No smoking.  1 pet accepted.  Travel cot and highchair available.  Garden furniture and barbeque. Private parking for 3 cars with a type 2 car charger. Maximum 6 adults Short breaks available. Arrival time 3pm. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Friday.


Stylish, modern house with easy access to Northam Burrows Country Park, the Westward Ho! beach and Westward Ho! itself. Well equipped (oven gloves, smaller mugs and espresso cups would be good additions). Comfortable beds, good showers and small south facing garden/patio with good furniture and BBQ. Bonus for us was the EV charger.
