The village has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants - many serving delicious home cooked food including local seafood and offer wonderful beach and coastal views.  The young, and not so young will enjoy exploring the rock pools of the smaller coves along the coastline or for the more energetic the picturesque village of Mortehoe with its cliff top walks is an exhilarating walk or few minutes’ drive away.  Woolacombe is an ideal location for a relaxing beach break or for enjoying more active pursuits including walking, horse riding, rock climbing and surfing.  The spectacular flora and fauna of Exmoor and the popular harbour town of Ilfracombe with its galleries and eclectic choice of cafes, restaurants and shops is within a 15 minutes’ drive and there are many picturesque villages, rural beauty spots and visitor attractions all within a 30 minute drive.
