This detached holiday home in the village of Landkey near Barnstaple provides a welcome base from which to explore the countryside and coast of North Devon.  Family and friends will enjoy the accommodation and facilities on offer which includes a large level enclosed garden surrounding the property providing ample opportunity to relax on a sunny afternoon or at the end of an adventurous day out.

By car you can access spectacular sandy beaches such as Saunton Sands, Croyde or Woolacombe. A FREE parking permit for one car is provided for Croyde's Down End Beach Car Park (until end of Feb 2020). Alternatively, head off towards picturesque waterfront villages such as Appledore and Instow. Barnstaple centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants and historic Pannier market, is 2.5 miles away and here you can access the Tarka Trail Cycle Path which offers level cycling each side of the Taw Estuary.  If you would like to leave the car behind, the Castle Inn, Willows traditional tea shop and the village stores are just a two minute stroll away, plus many local walks in the lovely North Devon countryside.

On entering the sun lounge of Rosemont, a secondary door opens into the main hallway. Off this is the living room with comfy seating, smart TV, ornamental fire place and rear garden views. Along the hallway is the kitchen/diner, a sociable space during food preparation and where family and friends can all enjoy meals together. A door leads to the small rear hall where guests have access to a cloakroom, patio and the garage, where a table tennis tournament awaits! Upstairs are a good size double and twin bedroom (which can be converted to super king on request) with plenty of storage. A separate dressing or storage room leads through to the large master bedroom and a second twin room. The master has a king bed, 32” TV and its own large balcony with bistro table and chairs accessed via large balcony doors. This bedroom also has an en-suite wet room. Completing the upstairs is an attractive family bathroom. Bedrooms are carpeted throughout.

The garden has large lawns with shrubs, mature trees plus a number of small fruit trees at the front. To maximise outdoor living there are a number of places to sit out and enjoy your stay, including one under cover. Treat yourselves to breakfast on the patio or after a day out exploring return and enjoy al fresco dining with a cool glass of wine. The garage offers secure storage for surfboards and bicycles, plus a table tennis table and other games for some competitive friendlies! The property has ample driveway parking available.

Rosemont will suit guests looking for an enjoyable holiday home setting, located close to Barnstaple and good for exploring the whole of the North Devon area with a choice of beaches and the splendour of Exmoor all within a 20 minute drive.

Spacious house, well equipped and extremely clean and a large garden. Good location for exploring Devon and beyond. One local pub within walking distance serving food and small local store for essentials. Large supermarket a short drive away. We were very happy with this property as our holiday home and found Marsden’s to be an efficient company to deal with.

Lovely spacious property close of many areas. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful large gardens well maintained. Could not fault anything, the local pub with excellent food in walking distance. We enjoyed a wonderful week there.
