Bratton Fleming Cottages
The village is not blessed with amenities, but in this part of Devon, the countryside more than makes up for that. However if you do want to find shops to pick up some food for your self-catering abode, there is a small convenience store in the village. Alternatively a 15 minute drive will take you into the heart of Barnstaple.
Nearby Arlington is another popular location, and is home to Arlington Court. The National Trust owned property is a 19th century creation, and can also offer extensive walking opportunities in the grounds.
Bratton Fleming also has Britain’s smallest national park on its doorstep. Exmoor National Park is a haven for adventure, with a plentiful supply of walking and cycling routes. Alternatively try your hand at fishing or experience the rolling valleys on horseback.
You will never be far from a good hearty pub in this part of Devon either, and we recommend giving some of the Exmoor ales a try.
