Picture this… a luxury mansion dating back to the Edwardian times, Wolborough House occupies an elevated position overlooking Brixham harbour and Torbay - the perfect celebration destination in this popular holiday hotspot.
Opulent Wolborough House dates back to 1910 and can accommodate 16 people in 8 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms and amazing 'fun floor' with indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, gym, bar, double walk in shower, table tennis table and a childrens’ playroom.
From its commanding position on the cliff top the grandeur of this property doesn’t stop at the front door. Step inside and enter a world of beautiful interiors - from the chandeliers, high ceilings and panelled walls to ornate marble mantles, roll top bath and soft plush furnishings. Artworks depicting the old Great Western Railway hang on the walls and add to the charm of this stunning property.
Accommodation is spacious and well proportioned with plenty of bathrooms. Bedrooms are beautiful, the master has a walk in wardrobe and lavish en-suite. A pretty balcony off the third bedroom, to the front of the property is the perfect spot for a little ‘me time’ - just hide away, relax and take in the fabulous coastal views.
This outstanding holiday home is within easy reach of Breakwater Beach beach, shops, tearooms and impressive fish market harbour front. Explore from Berry Head to Sharkham Point, a National Nature Reserve and haven for wildlife. Berry Head is also the site for the remains of an Iron Age hill fort. The former artillery house now houses a public display. Vibrant Torquay with its wide selection of restaurants, bars, shopping arcades and lively nightlife is just over a 25 minutes' drive away and picturesque Paignton with its family-friendly Zoo and fine golf courses is just under a 15 minutes' drive away. Dartmoor National Park and numerous National Trust homes & gardens to visit, are all within easy reach by car.
The Paignton, Torquay & Newton Abbot mainline train stations are very close by and the close proximity of Exeter airport makes it more or less effortless to arrive and be sure of a fabulous and ever memorable Devon stay!
