Life in The Edge is sheer indulgence… a beautiful holiday property with some of the best coastal views! This stylish, contemporary property on the banks of the Dart is the ideal boutique bolthole for four.
It's just a short hop on the lower ferry across the river to historic Dartmouth. Stroll around the towns winding streets packed with good restaurants, cafes, delis and stylish shops. Take the car and head a little further afield… drive along the beautiful coastal road from Dartmouth towards Slapton, stopping off at the lovely Blue Flag sandy beach at Blackpool Sands a family friendly spot with plenty of facilities for a great day out.
Kingswear is one of the most sought after villages in South Devon, sitting on the banks of the River Dart at the river's mouth opposite the town of Dartmouth. The village is a 'Mecca' to the sailing community, a superb natural harbour with numerous marinas and deep-water moorings and home to the Royal Dart Yacht Club, hosts of the annual Royal Regatta.
Kitchen: Stylish well equipped kitchen with a Siemens electric oven and hob, built in fridge, Dualit kettle and toaster.
Dining area: Table and cushioned benches with view to the river.
Lounge: 2 seater wicker settee and two matching single wicker chairs with views of the River Dart, large wall-mounted flatscreen Freeview TV.
Bedroom 1: Kingsize bed, fitted wardrobes and drawers, bedside wall-mounted lamps. A small flatscreen TV.
Luxury en-suite bathroom: Spacious with a large shower, marbled bath with a mirrored panel, W.C., wash-basin. A heated towel rail.
First floor accessed via Wooden spiral staircase.
Bedroom 2: Master-Suite with kingsize bed, fitted wardrobes and drawers. Two bedside lamps and a small wall-mounted flat-screen TV.
Luxury en-suite: Large shower, W.C., wash basin, heated towel rail. Patio doors leading out onto the wooden decking with a glass balcony with excellent views over the River Dart, Dartmouth Castle and beyond.
Bathrooms: Three in total – the 2 en-suites and an additional cloakroom by the front door.
Outside: Wooden decking and glass balconies offering excellent views of the River Dart, Dartmouth Castle and the open sea. A great space for alfresco dining.
Parking/Utility: Garage next to the main gate to the house. The white electric door is operated from inside the property and can be found on the first floor. There is room for one average sized car. There is also a fast charge electric pod point for an electric car. Utility area in the garage with washing machine and fuse box.
Facilities and services: WiFi connection available. Bed linen and towels provided. (Beach towels not provided.) Arr/Dep. For weekly bookings is Friday. Short breaks available in low and mid season, minimum 3 nights. Parking. Sea and river views. Balcony. Shop 1 mile, pub 1 mile. No smoking. Sorry no pets.
NOTE: This stunning property is located on the water front so children must be to be supervised at all times.
This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
Beautiful property in a really lovely part of the UK, tranquil, peaceful with entertainment just across the water in Dartmouth - planning next years trip already!
The Edge is spectacular - for views, sunshine, relaxation and unique ferry access to a host of splendid Restaurants. This is definitely a "do nothing" property. Better for 2 persons than 4 as the kitchen area is a bit tight and the seating is a bit restricted. However, we have managed to put up with the views, the sunshine, the relaxation and the Restaurants for 4 years and have booked for a 5th visit in 2020. The Blueriver staff in the Dartmouth office are extremely helpful and know their business well. We park the car on arrival and just walk, go by bus, train or boat - its the best way to explore !

location was excellent, as it was so hot during my stay I spent most of my time on this holiday to just watch all the activity on the river, busy all day. on mos days(I have visited devon so many times I did know the whole area so this was good for me to be lazy. You do have to negotiate the lane to the property my car just made it but it stops traffic going by. So easy to pop over to dartmouth on the ferry. Lovely south facing balconies.
