Delightful period property over three floors with balcony and deck area and excellent views overlooking Waterhead Creek and the River Dart. Genista is a delightful Victorian house well equipped offering stylish, period holiday accommodation for 8.

The property laid out over three levels offering very comfortable furnishings, a real holiday home from home. The lovely riverside village of Kingswear is connected to Dartmouth by regular car and passenger ferries. On the Kingswear side you have Coleton Fishacre and Greenway, both National Trust properties well worth exploring, plus Paignton Zoo, a great day out for all the family.

Historical Dartmouth is home to the Royal Naval College and has a wonderful array of individual shops, cafes, restaurants, stylish shops, galleries and nautical outfitters… stroll to Bayards Cove, near the ferry or head off to Dartmouth Castle and stop for tea at the café overlooking the river mouth and out to sea. This really is a great spot for a break with the family or a group of friends – truly relaxing!

Accommodation:

Living area: Comfortable sofas and stripped wooden flooring throughout the lounge area and fantastic views from the bay windows, digital TV with a selection of DVDs and games. Access from the front door onto the lower decked area.

Kitchen: Modern kitchen tiled throughout with up to date appliances, electric hob, double spacious oven, washing machine, toaster, microwave and dishwasher.

Dining: Table and chairs to seat 6 people.

Bathrooms: Ground floor cloakroom with WC and handbasin. The main family bathroom is on the first floor has WC, bidet, bath, shower over bath and wash basin. On the third floor in the apartment there is a bathroom with large walk in shower, WC, bidet and wash basin.

Bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: Bunk bed room with views over the creek, chest of drawers.

Bedroom 2: King size bed with views over the creek, bed side tables, wardrobe.

Bedroom 3: King size bed with views out to Lower Contour Road, bed side tables, wardrobe.

Top floor Bedroom 4: Super King size bed with sitting area, kitchen with  table and chairs and balcony with wonderful panoramic views out over the creek and across to Dartmouth, sitting area with table and TV, kitchen with cooker, electric hob, fridge (freezer drawer), kettle, coffee machine, breakfast bar and utensils etc.

Outside: Decking on 2 levels with excellent views over the river and to Dartmouth. The downstairs decking has a BBQ and seating for six guests, top floor decking with two chairs. 

Parking: Private allocated parking is available at the rear of the property on Lower Contour Road for one car.

Facilities and services: No WiFi connection available. Bed linen and towels provided. (Beach towels not provided.)  Arr/Dep. For weekly bookings is Saturday Arrival 4pm, Departure 11am. Short breaks available in low and mid season, minimum 3 nights. Pub 0.5 miles, shop 0.5 miles, coast 0.5 miles. No smoking. Will accept 1 pet at £25 per week. Courtyard garden. Parking. Balcony, river views. BBQ. Power and heat included.

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £350, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
