5* Beach Hut bolthole! This fabulous property is in such an enviable beachfront position that it was featured on George Clarke's Amazing Spaces. Chic, stylish and with amazing views over the beach, this luxurious holiday home ticks all the boxes. A fusion of seaside nostalgia with contemporary living - the perfect romantic retreat.
The open plan living is packed with coastal charm and nautical touches. White boarded walls with porthole mirrors and splashes of blue and red. The galley style kitchen comes complete with all modern appliances under a granite worktop. The comfortable sofa is a great place to kick off your flip flops and just chill. This lovely bright room also has a breakfast table and Smart TV and WiFi access. ‘Upstairs’ there’s a sleeping area on the mezzanine with a king size futon with hypoallergenic bedding accessed via a sliding ladder. Downstairs the natural stone tiled shower room has a power shower, WC and wash hand basin. This delightful and stylish holiday home is perfect at any time of year with underfloor heating for the cooler months and sliding doors.
The property has the benefit of private off street parking space to front and to the back, a private sea facing terrace for a little alfresco dining. Beach access couldn’t be easier, a ladder extends from the terrace onto the beach so you can feel the sand between your toes in no time!
Shaldon is a delightful seaside village with some excellent independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants so you’re not short of anywhere to go for a coffee or dinner.
Shaldon lies across the river from Teignmouth, at the mouth of the river Teign, hop on one of the ferries and explore further afield. Shaldon is great for walking too with the South West Coastal Path right on the doorstep. Follow one of the nature trails and do a spot of birdwatching on the river, alternative try your hand at one of the many water sports on offer. Golfing enthusiasts will love the 18 hole and the charming conservation zoo just outside the town is a must for all the family. Of course, everyone comes to Devon for the coastline and the beaches never disappoint… stay at Shaldon Beach Hut and you couldn't get any closer!
The village is also extremely accessible by car from the perfectly located mainline Train Station at Newton Abbot as well as from the vibrant nearby seaside resort of Torquay, Exeter Airport and the M5, which are all within a 20-30 minute drive.
The property has featured on the BBC Country File, George Clarke's Amazing Spaces, The Guardian Friday 21 March 2014 and the National Newspapers.

I booked Shaldon Beach Hut 5 for a short break as it was different and we weren't disappointed, the hut itself was immaculate, compact and did what it said on the tin, the views are just beautiful and there was enough to see and do locally we didn't need to travel. Only small issue was parking, the space directly outside the hut is very small and if all huts were in use would be extremely tight getting in and out of vehicles (we have a ford 7 seater). Would definitely consider returning to the huts.
Great location, middle of village with parking. On the beach and a view to absorb you all day long!
Perfect location, Shaldon is a hidden gem with a lot to offer and the beach huts are a perfect couple of nights away to slow and enjoy.
Great place for a quick break, right on the beach in a fantastic location close to everything you need.
Small but perfectly formed is how I would describe Beach Hut Nr 5. Very clean and comfortable. Nice touch was the Cava and the milk in the fridge. Would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time. The highlight was enjoying breakfast on the stunning terrace which had been delivered by the cafe next door!
