Located in a quiet spot in the sought after village of Shaldon, Sunnyside house offers very comfortable 4 bedroom accommodation for 8 guests. This pet friendly holiday property has private parking and a delightful walled garden - the perfect spot for children to play and for adults to simply relax.
Sunnyside is a traditionally furnished property with free WiFi, digital TV and gas central heating so it's perfect at any time of year. The spacious living area has plenty of comfortable soft seating, dining table and chairs and patio doors leading out onto a verandah and the lovely South facing garden. The ground floor kitchen is well fitted and there’s also a ground floor bedroom and shower room making it a good option for less mobile guests.
Sunnyside is a level walk into Shaldon so it's easy to pop out for breakfast or dinner or shop at one of the independent stores and stock up on the essentials and cook up a culinary masterpiece in the well equipped kitchen. The property is just a two minute walk from the slipway too so why note take the kayak, canoe or paddleboard and get out on the water. There’s plenty of room to store the gear in the garden.
Shaldon is a delightful seaside village with some excellent independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants so you’re not short of anywhere to go for a coffee or dinner.
Shaldon lies across the river from Teignmouth, at the mouth of the river Teign, hop on one of the ferries and explore further afield. Shaldon is great for walking too with the South West Coastal Path right on the doorstep. Follow one of the nature trails and do a spot of birdwatching on the river, alternative try your hand at one of the many water sports on offer. Golfing enthusiasts will love the 18 hole and the charming conservation zoo just outside the town is a must for all the family.
The village is also extremely accessible by car from the perfectly located mainline Train Station at Newton Abbot as well as from the vibrant nearby seaside resort of Torquay, Exeter Airport and the M5, which are all within a 20-30 minute drive.

Kitchen/dining room: well equipped integrated family kitchen with adjoining dining space and garden access. Cooker hob, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and a cafetiere-style coffee maker. Extending. Pine dining table with seating for 8, music stereo and 2 easy chairs.
Bedroom: 2 single pine beds. (these can be linked to a king size bed by prior arrangement), chest of drawers and double aspect windows.
Cloakroom/shower room: shower cubicle, a WC and a washbasin.
Utility room: washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, full fridge freezer, clothes line and ironing facilities.
Master Bedroom: bright and airy room with large picture window. Furnished with twin beds, (please specify in advance if you want the twin beds linked with super-king size bedding). 2 bedside tables and a chest of drawers with a TV. Large en-suite bathroom.
Bedroom 3 - spacious bedroom with two single pine beds, 2 bedside tables and a large built-in wardrobe (and with double aspect windows)
Bedroom 4 - a small double 4'6"bedroom and wardrobe.

Master en-suite: bathtub, overhead shower, wash hand basin, shaver light and socket, heated towel rack, bidet and WC.
Outside: verandah, private and secure south facing garden.
Parking: off-street parking for 3 cars/small boats.

Lovely property for a large family group Shaldon is a lovely village. Very pretty and friendly local people.
We had a very enjoyable stay in Shaldon which we know quite well but didn’t know Sunnyside House. The house surpassed our expectations; it was very comfortable & the main bedroom plus en-suite was sumptuous. An added joy was the sound of happy little children at play!! Thank you again.

The property is very well appointed, perfect for families with dogs as the garden is enclosed. There was everything you could need for a short or long break and very close to all that Shaldon has to offer. We hope to come back next year.
