Description
Kilmorie Lodge is a fabulous one bedroom cottage with views over Meadfoot Beach and the coast. Reverse level accommodation is bright and airy with sunlight flooring in through the large patio doors. The South West Coastal Path is easily accessible giving you access to a 22 miles stretch of South Devon coastal trails.
A sloping path leads into the garden and the property. Inside, accommodation is on two levels with the ground floor wheelchair friendly with a bedroom, wet room and kitchen with access onto the garden… perfect for alfresco dining. Upstairs there’s an open plan living area with kitchen and wide French doors leading onto a furnished balcony so switch off the mobile and escape the rat race… relax with a drink and take in the sea views. The enclosed garden is well planted with palms and azaleas making a lovely backdrop for a barbeque on the English Riviera.
If you can tear yourself away from the property, get out and explore Torquay, a vibrant seaside town. This ‘go to’ resort on the English Riviera was a favourite hot spot of the Victorian era with grand regency crescents lined with townhouses. Torquay's waterfront is the focus of life in the town. Here you'll find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina. The Living Coasts attraction adds to the variety of the new waterfront and the illuminated bridge is a great backdrop to a relaxing evening drink. Yet within minutes of Torquay town centre there are beautiful beaches easily accessible by foot, road or sea. There is an abundance of pavement cafés, Torquay pubs, restaurants and nightlife in Torquay, good quality shops and a host of attractions to suit every interest.
Nearby guests can also enjoy the picturesque Cockington Country Park, the popular Paignton Zoo, the many fine Golf Clubs and the incredible Kents Cavern just up the road. The Torquay coast also offers a wide range of sport activities to enjoy from sailing, surfing, fishing to golf, canoeing and horse riding.
