Reviews

A beautiful well equipped cottage, in a good location. Everything you could ask for.

Mr R,

An wonderful cottage in which to get away from the world, although just 5 minutes drive from an excellent pub! On the edge of Dartmoor, surrounded by sheep and open moorland. Cosy cottage, well-equipped and very comfortable, with everything we needed including books, games & DVDs. Tranquility and perfect for social distancing in our bubble.

Ms C,

"What an amazing place! We are grateful for a fantastic stay and a much needed break in such a lovely homely cottage and magical environment. Thank you for having us! Thank you also for the honey and fudge"

Past Customer,

Great location up on the moor. Really well equipped cottage with a comfortable lounge, dining, kitchen area. Fantastic access direct from the cottage gate for moorland walks & sunny front garden for enjoying the autumnal sunshine. Only one bathroom but that was fine for our visit. Useful local shop at Mary Tavy open 7 days a week

Past Customer,

Second stay in this lovely cosy cottage, hope to make it three one day. Mixed weather, great walks – Tavy Cleave is a must, as is West Okement Valley. Made it to “Cranmere Pool” to sign book in letterbox – superb holiday – thank you (and thank you for the fudge, honey, milk and butter).

Past Customer,

Stunning. Beautifully set up and comfortable cottage. Skylarks, cuckoos & sheep - gorgeous. Loved the silence and cant wait to come back. Thank you. Harriet and Jon

Past Customer,

Wow what a great cottage and location. Had a fabulous week with lots of walks, the walk up Tavy Cleave is a must, most beautiful remote part of Dartmoor. Cottage has everything you want. Frances and Pete

Past Customer,

We absolutely loved our stay here. Lots of rain but sunshine too and we got out every day to some wonderful walks. We both love Dartmoor and its been a pleasure to introduce our daughter to its wonders now that she is old enough (8) to manage some longer walks - we explored thoroughly- both up on the moors and along the beautiful Tavy. Also some great swims. The cottage was homely and well equipped and the generosity of the facilities and info provided much enhanced our stay. Lovely neighbours too! Thank you." Rose, Chris and Minerva

Past Customer,

Loved our stay here at Zoar Cottage. So wonderful to be able to walk onto the moor straight from the gate. Not enough days to explore as much as we would have liked but we hope to return! Thank you for sharing such a beautiful cosy hideaway with us. Jane & Pete

Past Customer,

Amazing location. Lovely cottage. The ideal getaway that you want to come back to.

Ms B,
