Riverside House is a stunning three bedroom modern country cottage which has been completely renovated with meticulous attention to detail. This three bedroom waterside property, oozes coastal style throughout – from the pale blue sofas and wicker chairs in the weather boarded summer house, to the lovely decked balcony area with glass balustrade furnished with garden sofas table and rocking chairs, accessed from the living room. The living area itself is packed with soft comfortable sofas and woodburning stove for the cooler evenings. There’s also a pool table in the garage for a little competitive family fun.
It's all about location… and this popular holiday home is in an enviable spot overlooking the creek at Frogmore with open countryside beyond. Outside there's a raised balcony deck, lower patio and further lower lawn area which runs down to the creek.
Explore nearby Prawle Point, a birdwatchers paradise where you can stroll along the low cliffs and dip down onto the beaches which line this rugged coastline. East Portlemouth, the picture perfect waterside village on the Salcombe estuary is also nearby, you can park up here and hop on the foot ferry into town. Salcombe is yachting haven and a delightful spot to sit and watch the action on the water with a coffee in hand.
There are three kayaks available at the property so you can spend an hour or so paddling the Kingsbridge estuary which is easily accessed from Riverside House.

Outside: To the right hand side of the cottage and lane is a multi layered garden, including lawned area, which continues down to the estuary. The garden has the benefit of a brand new summer house with double bed settee, wicker furniture and games. This entire area is ideal for entertaining the whole family in a beautiful and relaxing space and gas BBQ. There’s also a decked area leading from the lounge through the bi-folding doors with outside seating, sunbeds/parasols and stunning estuary views.
Parking: Garage: 6 foot pool table, parking for two cars with electric double doors operated by a remote control key fob. Parking for at least 3-4 cars is available outside the property and in the garage. The front door is available as access for loading/unloading without needing to use the main steps to the house.
Kayaks: 3 kayaks provided with buoyancy aids. Use at your own risk.
Please note: Kayaks to use at your own risk. Children should not play unsupervised around the Frogmore Creek. Please keep driveway clear of cars, it's a public right of way. Beware of the magnetic controls on the induction hob for anyone who wears a pacemaker.

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay. This property exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and kept to a very high standard. Fully equipped with lovely comfortable beds, great views. I would highly recommend booking!
Riverside House is a fantastic holiday cottage with wonderful accommodation and a great setting. I travel extensively and I can say without a shadow of doubt that Riverside House is as good, if not better than any other holiday accommodation I’ve ever stayed in. Every consideration and detail has been thought of both inside and outside with very little expense spared on fixtures and fittings. The kitchen is wonderfully well equipped, the lounge / dining area is extremely comfortable and the bedrooms are a good size with comfy beds. Both bathrooms are new and add a touch of luxury. We particularly enjoyed the tri-fold windows from the lounge to the outside seating area. The added bonus of a summerhouse overlooking the river in an additional area of garden is a lovely place to watch the sun set. We stayed immediately after lock down relaxed and safety / hygiene is well catered for. The place was spotless! We also travelled in our mid-life crisis car, aka a 2 seater convertible, and found the electric garage door and space for the car was terrific. We used the kayaks a few times and the barbecue extensively. Would we return? - definitely and we may even bring the kids with us next time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us.
