Access Statement

You will access along Church Street and take the next right into Duncombe Street. This property is on the left side of this road. 
The doorway is 72cm wide with 2 steps which are 9cm high and 13cm.
The entrance has 1 ceiling lamp and a storage room at the end. It has a radiator.
Living room
The doorway is 68cm wide and it's carpeted floor. There is fabric corner sofa which is 46cm high and two fabric armchairs, which are 40cm high. There is a coffee table and on the corner there is a flat screen TV which is 130cm to top and 56cm to floor.
This room is lit by 3 windows and 1 ceiling lamp. It has 1 radiator.
The doorway is 67cm wide. It has 3 downlighters and 1 window. There is a hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a microwave. It has 1 radiator.
Dining room
The doorway is 76cm wide and it's carpeted floor. There is a wooden table with 4 chairs. It is lit by 2 ceiling lamps and 1 window. There is 1 radiator. On the corner there is a inbuilt washing machine.

There is another double bed with white oak headboard with a bedside table with a lamp which is 62cm high. There is 1 ceiling lamp, 1 radiator and 3 windows. It has a wardrobe on the corner.


A pretty detached 2 bedroom cottage in the popular market town of Kingsbridge, great for families with dogs. Spacious light and airy, Chestnut Cottage offers lovely holiday accommodation and stylish décor with a nice coastal feel. The property sits on the edge of the beautiful Duncombe Park with plenty of grassy lawns for the children to let off steam and to enjoy a picnic or barbecue. It's just a 5 minute walk from the town centre with a good range of individual shops, galleries, pubs and excellent delis and cafes.

Kingsbridge is a good base from which to explore the South Hams coastline and beaches; the lively coastal town of Salcombe is about 10 minutes away and the the popular surfing beach of Bantham is also about a 10 minutes away.



Ground floor:  

Kitchen: Gas oven and 4 ring hob, a stylish SMEG fridge/freezer, microwave and all other useful kitchen utensils. (Washer/dryer stored away in the dining room.) At the kitchen entrance there is a large storage cupboard under the stairs for shoes, extra coats and any holiday beach equipment that you might have.

Living space: Bright sunny room overlooking the park. Corner sofa and 2 chairs, coffee table, TV, DVD player, wooden chest with board games and DVD’s.

Dining Space: Dining table and chairs.

First floor:

Master bedroom: King size bed, 2 bedside tables, large wardrobe, views over the park.

Bedroom 2: 1 double and 1 single bed with pull out trundle bed. Built in cupboard with hanging space.

Bathrooms between the two bedrooms: Separate bathroom with large corner bath, basin, storage cupboard.

Shower room: Walk in shower, basin, WC.

Outside: A little stream runs past the cottage – popular spot with our guests for playing Pooh sticks!


Facilities and services: WiFi connection available. Will accept 2 pets. Bed  linen and towels provided. (Beach towels not supplied.). Arr/Dep. For weekly bookings is Friday. Short breaks available. 5 miles from the coast. 1 mile from the nearest pub. Garden/courtyard. Private parking. 4  star rating.

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
