Apartment 22 of the fabulous 'The Moorings' development sits just a mile from the village of Kingsbridge, and is an ideal base to explore the South Devon coast, enjoying estuary views from the private balcony. The picturesque town of Kingsbridge is an ancient market town at the head of the estuary and situated in South Devon’s ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. It is perfectly positioned to visit the variety of local beaches, such as Bantham Beach, Beesands Beach, Bigbury-on-Sea, Blackpool Sands, Challaborough, Hope Cove & East Portlemouth.
Just a short walk away from the apartment is The Crabshell Inn and a little further along the river embankment is Kingsbridge town with many more pubs, cafés & restaurants.
The Kingsbridge area is the perfect holiday spot with such a large variety of things to do and see, boasting a vast array of arts & crafts with many galleries, exhibitions, theatrical shows & live music. There is plenty to discover in this town ~ for the ‘hustle & bustle’, visit the town in July for their annual Fair Week, or take an autumn break and enjoy the November Extravaganza Carnival, either of which turns the whole town into a masquerade of life and colour. After all that action, wind down and enjoy the finer tastes in local cuisine, wine and dine to your heart’s content in one of the many pubs, cafés and restaurants which open all year round. And what’s more, if the weather isn’t so good, the apartment offers splendid, relaxing views of the Kingsbridge Estuary.
The trendy sailing town of Salcombe is only a few minutes away by car. Larger towns for shopping are easily reached, with Plymouth, Totnes, Torbay and Exeter all making great days out. There are many golf courses in the area, such as Thurlestone, Bigbury and Dartmouth golf courses.

This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
We had a really enjoyable week partly due to the weather , but the apartment provided very comfortable accommodation and was well furnished . The biggest draw though was its location and in particular the views over the estuary . All in all , a very good holiday .
We enjoyed our stay and loved the view. The kitchen , bathroom, bedrooms and living room were very nice and clean. Thank you for the support . For sure if we are going to the UK we will ask for your service .
This was a lovely property with so many nice surprises - particularly well equipped and very tastefully decorated. It was refreshing to find a property described so accurately by Blueriver Cottages. Thank you to all the team and to the owner who clearly has excellent taste.
It was a lovely property in a great location. 87year old father enjoyed all the estuary activities whilst watching from the property balcony. Kingsbridge is a lovely market town - not too busy with tourists and has some lovely individual coffee shops and retail shops. Will definitely be going back - definitely recommend this property. Great company to deal with and everything went smoothly - Thank you.
We holiday as a family every year in South Devon, but with my elderly father it us becoming increasingly difficult to find a suitable property for three generations of the family. This property certainly fits the bill. It was easily accessible and the ensuite bathroom is suitable for a disabled person, but could do with grab rails on the walls of the shower. The standard of furnishings is outstanding. We all loved the wonderful views and spent many hours watching the activities on the estuary. We strolled into town most days and had drinks in the Crab Shell Inn which is very close to the property. The evening cruise from the Quayside was very enjoyable. We will definitely return to thus proerty
