A former Pilot’s retreat, Crab Quay Cottage benefits from views over the historical working harbour, as well as relaxing peeps towards the rustic coastline beyond. In recent years, the cottage has been completely refurbished, and is now laid out over three floors to provide comfortable sleeping for six across three bedrooms.

Downstairs, a relaxed lounge boasts the character charm of an exposed stone wall, as well as a cosy gas fireplace, perfect for gathering together to escape the cold winter nights. A modern, fully-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing home cooked meals during your visit, gathered around the large dining table for meals together. Alternatively, why not open up the French doors to the balcony and let the sun shine through, or enjoy that morning coffee or glass of wine as the sun sets over the Brixham harbour side. Over the first and second floors you will find three bright and relaxing bedrooms, as well as two contemporary bathrooms for freshening up before a day exploring.

There are plenty of local amenities right on your doorstep, including the refreshing open-air Shoalstone swimming pool filled with fresh sea water just 20 minutes’ walk away. And after a long day of exploring, why not head back to the cottage and up to the loft room, and enjoy the board games to decide who is loading the dishwasher after food?! Alternatively, you can escape the rest of the family and unwind in front of the TV.

Accommodation: Ground floor: access steps down to a front garden. Entrance door leads to porch. Lounge with 2 sofa beds, coffee table, gas fire, TV with Freeview. Kitchen diner with French door leading to the balcony 2 tables and seating for 6. Kitchen has four-ring gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer (60/40), slim line dishwasher, washer dryer. Dining table and chairs for 6. First floor: Master bedroom with King size bed - zip & link that can be used as 2 Singles and Twin bedroom with 2 Single beds, zip & link that can be used as Double Bed, Family bathroom with walk in shower cubicle, sink and WC. Second floor: Double bedroom with king size bed, Family bathroom - bath and overhead shower, WC and washbasin. Attic: Futon sofa, 2 bean bags, TV with DVD, selection of board games, DVD’s and books.

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Gas CH. Wi-Fi Broadband. No smoking. Travel cot, highchair and stair gate at the property please bring your own bedding and linen for the cot.

Saturday changeover days for weekly bookings.This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.


Crab Quay Cottage is amazing! Great location right next to the fish market. The beds are super-comfy. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The decor is lovely. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Crab Quay Cottage. The location was perfect and the cottage was well equipped with all we needed to relax and have a super holiday. I would definitely recommend staying here and we hope to be able to return here for another holiday in lovely Brixham.

Perfectly located to enjoy Brixham, which is a 2 minute walk away. The property is very well kept, with comfortable beds and great towels! Little balcony which overlooks sea views beyond. Nearest off- street parking is a 10 or 15 minute walk away and always involves a steep hill! Brixham Gin is made and sold 30 yards up the road, with great views of the harbour. Brixham doesn't have a sandy beach, but it's got lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways and you can take numerous boat trips from the harbour.
