The Shell House is a beautifully modern property with some quirky personality. This house has been refurbished to a high standard offering contemporary styling with neutral tones with bold colours. The owners have made full use of the space available by picking furniture that compliments the space. The ground floor is the main social space of the house with a woodburner available for the guests to use offering a cosy area to watch an evening film in the winter months. The living, kitchen and dining room are all open plan. On the first floor is a double bedroom and family bathroom. On the second floor is the master bedroom. Bright splashes of colour highlight the rooms throughout the property and the external decoration of the house has a quirky history. This property, decorated by the previous owner, is covered in a range of different shells hence, The Shell House. It being an interpretation of Start Point, a fantastic location to visit whilst you are on holiday, it is beautiful to look at and you can fully appreciate the effort gone in to creating this masterpiece. 

The Shell House is located in a street just off the main town, it is centrally located and less than a minutes walk from all of the shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes (see Google Maps Screen Grab for proximity to Harbour). The location of The Shell House offers guests flexibility for the activities they have planned during their holiday because it is within a short walking distance to all of the attractions. Dartmouth is a great town with plenty to do with coastal walks on your doorstep, boat trips, the Kingswear Steam Train and the buses at the Boat Float you won't need to drive at all! Fully immerse yourself in the Dartmouth Holiday experience and don't forget about your furry friends. Almost every shop, pub and cafe is pet friendly, so whilst you're enjoying your holiday your dog can too!

Parking All day parking is available at Dartmouth Park and Ride, alongside free parking a short walk away on Market Square (except Tuesdays and Fridays). Overnight parking is available in Mayor's Avenue Car Park on a first come, first serve basis. Unloading is possible outside the property. 

Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Blueriver Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

Pets Welcome: Maximum of 1 pet; £25 per pet per week

Power and Heat: Gas and Electricity included in rent. Heated Towels Rails in the Family Bathroom. Woodburner in the Kitchen/Lounge/Diner (Guests to bring their own wood).

Shell cottage is a very comfortable house in an ideal location for all facilities. Very friendly locals. Lots of shops and pubs close by. We would recommend Blue River cottages as the standards are high and the company is very helpful.

Shell House is a lovely property which is ideally situated within easy walking distance of town. Every attention to detail has been given, the quality of furnishings and equipment is very high, as is the cleanliness of the property. The parking permit is a really useful addition since parking in Dartmouth can be limited and expensive. I parked up at the start of my holiday and didn’t need to move my car again until I was heading home. I’d be highly likely to rebook in the future.
