West Alvington is a quaint village based in South Devon, it has a through road that leads to Kingsbridge in less than 2 minutes and leads to Salcombe in less than 20 minutes drive. The village has a local village shop, Primary School and a pub called the Ring O Bells which is great for a traditional pub meal is you didn't fancy cooking. Kingsbridge is the closest town to the barn and offers a range of chain and independent stores for you to enjoy whilst on holiday, the town is on a main bus route as well as West Alvington village, if you didn't want to drive the local roads and enjoy the view then catch a bus to your next destination. It's easy!
The Meadows is a beautiful, modern barn conversion located at the local working farm in West Alvington. It is a large and spacious property with four bedrooms sleeping up to seven people. Externally the barn has an additional garage for guests to use to store their kayaks, boats etc. and there is a Darts Board for guests to use if you fancied a little bit of a competition with all of the family. On the driveway there is enough parking for up to six vehicles as well as patio space with outside furniture provided, fire pit and sun loungers for the guests to enjoy. On the ground floor the property has a utility room, an open plan dining and kitchen area which leads to two twin bedrooms both with ensuites. On the first floor you'll find a single bedroom and a very grand in size living room with plush furniture. On the second floor is the Master suite with superking bed and a seating area, across the landing is a family bathroom with separate bath and a walk in shower. A very well equipped property for a fantastic holiday!

Facilities: Garden Garden and Patio area are fully enclosed with garden furniture provided. Charcoal Barbeque and Fire Pit are provided (Guests are to bring their own wood and charcoal). Within the Barn next to the house is the Games Room, Darts Board is available (Use at own risk). Parking There is parking available in the enclosed garden and patio area on the gravel at the front of the house, there is enough parking for up to six vehicles on the driveway. Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Marsden Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay. Pets Welcome: Maximum of 2 pets; £25 per pet per week. Power and Heat: Oil and Electricity included in the rent. Oil Central Heating throughout the property. Underfloor Heating is on the Ground Floor. Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided (Please bring your own beach towels). Baby Equipment: Travel Cot, Highchair, 2 Stair Gates (Ground Floor and Second Floor), Other equipment is not supplied. (Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot). Shop: 1 Mile Kingsbridge Town Pub: 0.4 Miles Ring 'O' Bells Pub Notes - No Smoking. WiFi Provided. Strong mobile phone signal. Please be aware this is a working farm there are free range animals and children, please do not feed or touch the animals. If you have a dog with you then please make sure they do not jump the gate or fence that encloses The Meadows and that the dogs are kept on a lead at all times. Please be respectful of the livestock. If you are bringing a pet with you, please make sure that you clean up after your pet otherwise you may incur charges.
We are a family of 5, with three children aged 13, 10 and 7. The property was picked as it had 4 bedrooms and was within 10 mins of the local beaches and towns, and very close to the local supermarket. The two eldest really loved having their own en-suite bathrooms - no arguments over the shower! The neighbours in the adjoining barn conversion were very friendly, even giving us some of their eggs. The property is excellently finished, with very comfy beds.

Could not have asked for a better property. Great location on a farm with lots of animals to keep our young kids entertained, but only walking distance/ quick drive in to kingsbridge. Property is stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. It has everything you need and is of a very high standard. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
An outstanding and very high quality property. Superb location for all of the South Hams beaches and extremely dog friendly- completely secure grounds. A wonderful base for a big family or group- cannot recommend highly enough!
Fantastic property, in a great location just outside of Kingsbridge. Close to beautiful beaches. The owners were lovely with David (the farmer) showing the children the pigs, chickens and calves. Had the most fantastic time! Many thanks.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Meadows, which is located in a lovely rural setting. The building has character and nice features. The property is well equipped, with all the mod cons and has good facilities. The property is finished to a very high standard and is spacious and very comfortable. Outside, there is ample parking, dining space and room for our dog Arthur to run around in a secure space! We have already recommended the property to our family and friends!
