Description

SunnyLodge is an excellent semi-detached house situated on Devon Road in a raised position benefitting from views of the Estuary and East Portlemouth through the protected woodland on the other side of the road. This house has ample space for all of the family including your furry friend. This house has lots to offer guests for their holiday, a good location and is close to the town, it's about a 10 minute stroll away, two terraces and a courtyard, parking for two vehicles and three bedrooms sleeping up to six people. Salcombe is a great town for sailing enthusiasts and offers a fantastic range of shops including clothes shops, bakeries, local produce and coffee shops. Perfect for a relaxing day taking in the sights. Salcombe is a beautiful area, it has a range of beaches and cliffs which make up part of the South West Coastal Path. In short driving distances from the house you will find yourself at North Sands or South Sands and maybe think about enjoying a spot of lunch in the famous Winking Prawn. 

SunnyLodge has been decorated well with a nautical theme throughout the house, oak flooring on the ground floor, soft plush carpet on the stairs and the first floor to make sure guests comfort comes first. It's the perfect home from home. 

Accommodation: Ground Floor - Cloakroom W.C, Hand Basin, Mirror, Towel Rail over the radiator with tiled flooring. Please be aware there is no window however, there is an extractor fan. Lounge/Diner Large and Comfortable Corner Sofa, Large Pouffe, 32" Flat Screen TV with Freeview and Integrated DVD Player, Sliding Patio Doors leading to the front Terrace with views of the Estuary through the woodland area opposite the house. Wooden dining table with 6 wicker chairs. This room leads to the kitchen. Kitchen Grey style modern kitchen with white speckle marble granite worktops, Integrated Gas Oven, Four Ring Gas Hob, Integrated Dishwasher, Integrated Washing Machine, Fridge and Freezer. Krups Espresso Coffee Machine (Please bring your own coffee beans for the coffee machine), Kettle, Two-Slot Toaster, Sink with Mixer Taps. Kitchen leads to a Rear Courtyard with Bistro Set and a metal spiral staircase leading to the rear terrace. First Floor - Master Bedroom  Super King (6') Bed, Two Bedside Tables and Lamps, Chest of Drawers, Built In Wardrobe, Wicker Chair, Views of the Estuary through the woodland area opposite the house. Ensuite Shower Cubicle with Electric Thermostatic Shower, W.C., Hand Basin, Heated Towel Rail with tiled flooring. Bedroom 2 King (5') Bed, Two Bedside Tables and Lamps, Double Built In Wardrobe with Drawers inside, Dressing Table and Mirror, Wicker Chaise Longue. Leads to Rear Terrace with Two Sun Loungers and a Coffee Table. Bedroom 3 Twin Room (3') Singles, Bedside Table and Lamp between the beds, Mirror, Build in Cupboard/Wardrobe, Views of the Estuary through the woodland area opposite the house. Family Bathroom Bath with Overhead Thermostatic Shower, W.C., Hand Basin and Mirror, Heated Towel Rail and tiled flooring. 

Facilities: Outside Space Terrace located at the front of the house with Outside Seating for up to six people, views overlooking the Estuary through the woodland area opposite the house. Rear Courtyard is located next to the kitchen with Bistro Set. Rear Terrace access via Bedroom 2 with Two Sun Loungers and a Coffee Table. Parking Parking for 2 vehicles is available on the shared driveway in front of the house. (Guests are to park in front of SunnyLodge and not the neighbouring property) Changeover Day: Friday - Arrival: 3:00pm - Departure: 10:00am Security Deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay. Pets Welcome: Maximum 1 Pet; £25 per Pet per week Power and Heat: Gas and Electricity included in rent. Heated Towel Rails in the Ensuite and Family Bathroom. Baby Equipment: Travel Cot, Stair Gates and Highchair available in the property. Other equipment is not provided. (Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot). Shop: 0.6 Mile (Co-Op) Pub: 0.6 Mile (Victoria Inn) Notes No Smoking. Maximum of 1 Pet Accepted. WiFi Provided. Parking for 2 cars available. Strong Mobile Phone Signal.  Short Breaks - Short Breaks are Not Accepted from the Beginning of June to the End of September.

Beautifully decorated and elevated townhouse in quiet location, and very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. I had a couple of questions before I booked which were answered immediately by Sarah and Jeremy. I would certainly visit again.

We enjoyed a great week in Sunnylodge. Big and spacious, the property is ideally situated high above the Salcombe Estuary, just 15 minutes walk from the lovely and picturesque town centre, and 15 mins walk from the nearest beach at North Sands (albeit up a steep hill). We would thoroughly recommend as a base for enjoying everything that Salcombe has to offer including shopping, food and drink (inc. the local gin distillery), water sports, walking, and for exploring the wonderful South Devon.

Well appointed comfortable house with lovely terraces in a beautiful location. Lots of steps and set high above the town, which suited us as we enjoyed the walk in/out, trying many different routes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
