Description

Located in an elevated position yet close to the centre of the popular Exmoor village of Lynton.  Sinai House is situated in the historic character quarter of the village and is surrounded by the spectacular countryside of the Exmoor National Park.  Its hillside position provides some lovely village and countryside views with the high cliffs of Countisbury prominent in the distance. Just a short walk down hill brings you to a local inn serving food and a choice of individual shops, cafes and restaurants are all within a further short walk. The cottage is accessed by steep slated external steps and offers attractive contemporary style whilst keeping many of the original character features including original inglenooks and steep winding stairs.  On the main entrance level there is a small hallway for coats and boots, a cosy living room with a woodburner for the cooler seasons and a good sized well equipped kitchen/diner has all you will need should you decide to dine in.  A staircase leads off the hallway up to the first floor where two attractive double bedrooms and a family shower room can be found.  The double bedroom at the front of the cottage has dual aspect views including distant views of the high cliffs of Countisbury where Exmoor meets the sea and the other double overlooks the village with hillsides in the distance. A small side patio is astro turfed and is ideal for alfresco meals or just relaxing at the end of the day after exploring this wonderful part of Devon. Superb countryside, hillside and coastal walks surround the village which also offers bowling, tennis and a village cinema. An exhilarating cliff walk or a breathtaking ride on the famous water powered funicular railway brings you to the picturesque harbour, gardens and shingle and rocky beach of the twin village of Lynmouth.
