Description
Guests wishing to experience rural farm life will be pleased with this ground floor wing of a large farmhouse set in a 200 acre traditional Exmoor livestock farm. Depending on the season, visitors are invited to observe everyday activities such as lambing, calf-rearing and hay making and are welcome to explore the estate and meet the dogs, cats, ducks and chickens. Walkers too will enjoy the many scenic footpaths in and around the stunning Exmoor countryside and accessible from the doorstep. Holwill Farm Wing is quiet, peaceful and private. The sleepy local village Inn at Parracombe is a popular spot with locals and serves excellent food nearby. The North Devon coastal villages of Combe Martin and Lynton and Lynmouth are a short drive away and well worth a visit. A comfortable and traditionally furnished lounge/diner, galley kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are all on one level(with a few internal steps). Outside there is a fully-enclosed front garden with garden furniture, a large field and the farmland beyond - all 200 acres - ready for exploration ncluding the historic mound site of Holwill Castle.
Accommodation: Ground Floor: Living room with satellite TV and DVD. Galley kitchen/breakfast room with electric hob and oven, microwave. Bedroom 1 with Double and Single bed. Bathroom with bath and shower attachment, basin and WC.
Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. NS heating. No Wi-Fi. 1 pet welcome. Highchair and cot. No smoking. Garden Furniture. Short breaks available. Ample parking adjacent. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
