What sets Marsdens Devon Cottages apart, and gives our guests the confidence to book with us year after year, is the quality of our properties and the quality of our service.
We are proud of our portfolio of over 300 properties. However, that means nothing without our guests’ approval. Guests are very careful about how they spend their money and have increasingly high expectations. Many of our holiday properties enjoy high levels of repeat bookings year after year because homeowners have maintained high standards and we have worked together to ensure our guests enjoy consistently high standards.

We’ve always been committed to customer care and are very proud to be a long-standing VisitEngland Quality Assured Agency. As part of that award, we take great care when selecting properties to join our portfolio. Whether a property is small or simple, large or luxurious or a home from home, all our properties meet our stringent Minimum Entry Requirements (MER). Our in-house assessors work to strict criteria to ensure a fair and accurate star grading throughout our whole portfolio.
A quality score is awarded for every aspect of the property including the layout and design of the accommodation, the ease of use of all the appliances, the comfort of the beds, the range and quality of kitchen equipment and, most importantly, cleanliness. For very high scoring properties a Gold award may be given and in exceptional circumstances, a Platinum award may be made. The more stars awarded, the higher the quality and the greater the range of facilities and services provided. Properties are inspected annually to ensure that the grading meets the standards of our quality criteria.
After guests stay with us, we ask them to fill in a short questionnaire to provide us with feedback on what they liked or disliked about a property, and our service. We then send this feedback to you quarterly, so you can be encouraged by the positive feedback and see what improvements guests suggest.
Customer Satisfaction is becoming even more important because of increased use of review sites. As well as asking for feedback, we are asking our guests to rate us using Feefo, and independent rating organisation, and we are proud to report that our score is exceptional.
