Ilfracombe is roughly three miles west of the village and offers everything you would expect of a coastal town. Shops, pubs and restaurants are in rich supply, not forgetting Damien Hurst’s famous ‘Verity’ sculpture.
Combe Martin on the other hand is a village spanning over a mile in length along one main high street. At one end of the street you will find Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, at the other you will be on the beach.
Continuing east beyond Combe Martin will lead you towards Exmoor National Park, a haven for adventurers. Britain’s smallest national park is home to moorland, woodland, farmland and valleys, offering a superb mix of scenery, and challenging walks.
Berrynarbor itself is a previous winner of Best Kept Village, and home to several of our beautifully presented holiday cottages.
