Description

In a central location in the village of Braunton with its great choice of vibrant cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants, Cross Farm Cottage is also just a short drive away from the fabulous beach at Saunton Sands. Positioned at the end of a row of similar cottages in a courtyard arrangement, on the site of the former farm, the property has been newly refurbished for the 2014 season and is ideal for couples looking to holiday with friends or for a fun family break. Freshly styled with quality furnishings the cottage is a relaxing home from home after a busy day walking the dogs on the beach or taking in one of the many attractions in North Devon.

The hallway leads round to a well equipped modern kitchen/breakfast room complete with a traditional slate floor. The wooden table seats up to six and the kitchen area is a good size with ample work surfaces and a window overlooking the garden. The living room with its ornamental fireplace and old bread oven feels very homely with two comfortable sofas, a 42" flatscreen TV and PlayStation 3. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a stylish bathroom. The spacious master bedroom comes with a superking bed with brown leather headboard and buttermilk wooden furniture.  The twin room is again attractively furnished and decorated with quality furnishing but is slightly smaller. The single room is just across the landing. All three bedrooms share the handy bathroom. The cottage welcomes pets and part of the garden has been fenced off. The large shed provides ample space for storing all outdoor recreation equipment. Braunton is an ideal location for the surfing beaches at Saunton and Croyde both just a few minutes drive and the Tarka Trail (part of the National Cycle Network) is very close to the cottage, and  the route heads out  towards the picturesque Taw estuary, Barnstaple and Instow. Cross Farm Cottage is a very popular choice for year round holidays in North Devon.

Reviews

This is a lovely, comfortable cottage. Immaculately clean and genuinely dog friendly Location is brilliant. I have already booked for next year.

Jackie Worrall,

The housekeeper for cross farm cottage is amazing. She is very helpful and incredibly hospitable. Nothing is too much trouble for her. The staff in the office are really helpful and go out of their way to ensure we are happy. We have been using Marsdens for many years and will continue to do so because everything that is detailed on the web site and in the brochures is exactly what you get where some other companies aren’t so scrupulous.

Mrs Julie Streets,

lovely from the outside, very dog friendly, great facilities in the cottage, very comfortable, great location

Mrs Steph Hewitt,

Great property, thoughtfully decorated and presented.

Mr Graham Bird,

We absolutely loved our week at Cross Farm and will definitely be back this year for another break

Mr Dave Pearce,

We were at Cross Farm Cottage for Christmas 2017 so the comfort and equipment needed to be first class. The cottage didn’t, disappoint .......we were very warm and comfortable. The Christmas tree and hamper added to the Christmas spirit. Would recommend this Cottage. 5 Star!

Mr M Hanstock,

We love this cottage, it's all done to a very high standard yet it has retained a homely, cosy feel.

Louise Millward,

The property was immaculately clean. The housekeeper called round to ensure that everything was OK. It was genuinely dog friendly and extremely comfortable. We have already booked a week next September. Braunton was an unexpected delight. We were very impressed by the quality and quantity of places to eat. The area is, in any case, ideal for dog walking and our dogs had a glorious time!

Jackie Worrall,
