For a North Devon holiday home which has wonderful coastal panoramic views then look no further than Heanton Lodge. Completely refurbished by the owners in 2017 the Lodge combines attractive living accommodation with plenty of outdoor space. With south-facing patios and conservatory, guests will have plenty of options for making the most of the views - the River Taw and the impressive dunes at Braunton Burrows, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with the Atlantic Ocean just beyond.
The Lodge’s driveway leads up past the front garden to the house. You can leave your shoes or flip-flops in the ‘boot room’ which takes you through into the open plan kitchen and dining room. The modern well equipped kitchen area has a small breakfast bar and overlooks the rear garden. Off the kitchen is the utility room. The dining room has a table for 8 guests and leads on through to the hallway or to the large conservatory, which has a small table and seating. The triple aspect living room has sofas set out in front of the smart TV and there is also a door that leads out to the west patio. Off the hallway is a downstairs cloakroom.
Sliding doors open out from both the kitchen and separately from the conservatory to one of the patios, complete with comfortable garden seating and there is an additional west facing patio. The beautiful gardens have mature shrubs and borders in addition to the lawns. When not down at the beach or out sightseeing, guests will enjoy making the most of the sunshine throughout the day and evening at the Lodge. So fire up the barbecue or just relax with a cool glass of something, you deserve it.
Upstairs there are four good-size bedrooms. The master bedroom has a King and has plenty of storage space plus an ensuite bathroom. The second King is at the west end of the Lodge with views out to the ocean. In between these bedrooms are two Twin bedrooms and the family shower room with large walk-in shower.
The Williams Arms a popular thatched village pub and restaurant is about a ten minute downhill stroll in Wrafton. By car you can access spectacular sandy beaches such as Saunton Sands or Croyde. A free parking permit for 1 car is provided for Downend Car Park in Croyde. Alternatively, head off in the other direction to picturesque waterfront villages such as Appledore and Instow. Less than half a mile from the holiday home is the Tarka Trail cycle path which offers level cycling each side of the Taw Estuary. Barnstaple centre with its shops, cafes and restaurants and historic Pannier market are a short drive away.
Heanton Lodge is perfect for families, extended families or groups of friends, at any time of year, guests will simply not want to leave this amazing holiday home!

Thank you for a lovely stay in Devon. Lovely home and lots of space, you have thought of everything and this made our stay so comfortable.
the house was fabulous, and like staying in someone’s home rather than a rental.
A house with a wonderful mix of modern and classic styles. The garden was used such a lot and never failed to impress us as it is beautifully kept.
Had a fabulous holiday in North Devon. Lots of sunshine and lovely beaches and an amazing house to stay in. Everything we could need and more, an absolute treasure.
Very clean property, very peaceful, fantastic views and kids enjoyed the rabbits and pheasants that visited daily- a great family stay, thank you all very much.

We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory overlooking the fantastic views. This house is a convenient location for shopping, facilities and the marvelous beaches
