Combesgate is a spacious first floor apartment in a most unique position, tucked into the hillside on the edge of the village of Mortehoe with magnificent views out over Woolacombe Bay and out towards the distant headlands and Lundy Island. This spacious apartment occupies the entire middle floor of a most impressive residence and is a wonderful place to stay no matter what the weather. The apartment has its own private entrance (external steps approach) through a large porch ideal for storage. The large picture window in the very comfortable living/dining room takes advantage of the views as does the double bedroom at the front of the apartment. A light, airy and well equipped kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals for family or friends and also contains a table and chairs for informal snacks. Elevated hillside gardens to the side of the property offers a level patio area ideal for alfresco dining and a magnificent vantage point for sea gazing. An ideal base for those looking for a beach holiday or to enjoy exploring the spectacular National Trust coastline and wonderful surrounding countryside.The accommodation is ideal for couples and families and booked together with Morte and Barricane Apartments can be enjoyed by larger groups with plenty of space for all generations.  Within a short stroll, Mortehoe is a pretty stone built village mentioned in the Domesday Book and offers three local pubs, a village shop, tea rooms and a restaurant.   A choice of fine sandy coves are close by and the award winning beach at Woolacombe an exhilarating walk or short drive.

The Apartment is superbly located, outside the relative hustle and bustle of Woolacombe in the beautiful village of Mortehoe. The accommodation is spacious and clean with spectacular views. The booking process through Marsdens is simple and easy and the staff polite and respectful. I have already booked for 2019.
