If you are looking to enjoy a sporting activity or two during your stay, Royal North Devon Golf Club sits on the edge of the village and is England’s oldest golf course. Torridge Leisure Centre is also within the village. And of course in North Devon you will never be short of excellent walking opportunities. Northam Burrows Country Park sits between the village and the sea, offering walks through salt marshes, sand dunes and grassland.
Alternatively take a short walk to Westward Ho! and enjoy the popular Blue Flag beach, which caters for all with a range of activities and shops. Or take a quick trip in the car to nearby Appledore, to catch a glimpse of the River Torridge before it meets the sea.
