Deep in the rural Devon countryside in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty this rustic wing of a Victorian farmhouse is a lovely place to experience a traditional working farm and guests are encouraged to get involved if they want to. Children will love to watch the milking, meet the calves and collect freshly laid eggs and the friendly owners are happy for guests to explore the surrounding 120 private acres (wellingtons required).The village Inn at Langtree is within one mile and the town of Torrington with its shops and cafes is around 15 minutes' drive. The scenic North Devon coastline of Bideford Bay with its spectacular cliff walks, wide surfing beach and fishing villages is less than half an hour away.
In the adjacent wing to the owner, Lake Farm Wing offers simple and comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting. Upstairs via an open-tread staircase there are three bedrooms and a shower room. Modestly furnished throughout, the cosy lounge/diner has a beamed ceiling and a feature fireplace and an exposed stone archway leads into the kitchen. A lawned garden has a picnic table and bench and the nearby field, duck pond and stream are fun for outside play.
Accommodation: Ground floor: Living/dining room with coal effect electric fire in stone fireplace, TV and DVD. Kitchen with electric cooker, microwave and washing machine. First floor: Bedroom 1 with Double. Bedroom 2 with Double. Bedroom 3 with Twin (one 2'6"). Shower room with WC and basin.
Facilities and services: Linen and towels. NS heaters. No Wifi. Regret no pets. Highchair and stairgate available. Fresh eggs usually available. Property may not suit more than 4 adults. Unrestricted off-road parking. Short breaks available. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday
