Granary Mill Apartment is a delightful holiday property, with 2 bedrooms offering plenty of space for 4 guests. Accommodation is all on one level set in a convenient location on the fringes of Chudleigh, a small former woollen town dating back to 1309 with cafes, pubs and shops within a short walk of the apartment.
A wooden staircase leads to the property which occupies the second floor of the converted Granary dating back some 600 years. This beautiful conversion retains many of the original features with vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls meeting contemporary style living. The kitchen area is well equipped and has lovely rural views over the stream that used to feed the mill. The open plan living and dining area is spacious and comfortable with a couple of sofas (one converts into a bed) and dining table and chairs. The two bedrooms are contemporary, a double and a twin (the twin beds can be attached together to make a double).
This is a lovely area for walking with marked footpaths closeby. Chudleigh is famous for its rocks and caves: popular amongst rock climbers. Most of the public walking paths are great for taking your dog with you. If you’re looking for a cultural day out, visit the cathedral city of Exeter ( just 9 miles away) with museums and galleries. The lovely Northernhay Gardens on the northern side of Rougemont Castle are the oldest public gardens in England so well worth a stroll. It’s also a great place to shop and stop off for lunch with some excellent cafes, restaurants and stylish shops.

Lounge/dining/kitchen: Two sofas TV, dining table and chairs for 6, lovely fully fitted glossy white kitchen with usual appliances.
Master Bedroom: Double bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers
Second bedroom: Twin beds (can be attached together to make a double). Central bedside table and chest of drawers.
Bathroom: Bath with shower over and glass screen, wash hand basin, towel rail and WC.
Outside: No garden but easy access to open countryside with public footpaths on the doorstep.
Parking: Private parking
Facilities and services: WiFi connection available. Bed linen and towels provided (beach towels not provided). Arr/dep for weekly bookings is Saturday. Short breaks available in low and mid season. Courtyard garden. Private parking. Will accept 2 pets. No smoking.
Security deposit: This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.

We had a lovely time at the Granary Mill. Richard, the property's caretaker was very kind to leave us some goodies for our breakfast on the first day, as well as fresh duck eggs from his Indian runners. What a treat! We were felt very blessed to be in such a beautiful location on holidays ahead of the arrival of our twins, as we had uninterrupted sleep every time we decided to nap. No ambulance or police sirens, traffic noise, just bliss silence and beautiful views. The cleanliness of the mill was superb. We didn't see anybody but check in and check out was very smooth. We appreciated the unexpected milk being left for drinks the following morning. The steps to the top floor were quite steep but this okay for our family.Joanne - 1st October 2015
We had a lovely weekend in this apartment. It was very clean and well equipped with lots of little things you find you need when away, especially in the kitchen, which was very helpful. The Granary was a perfect base for enjoying the gorgeous Moor and coast of this lovely area. It was very comfortable, immaculately clean, well equipped and peaceful, tucked away in a quiet little complex of converted mill buildings with a lovely outlook over field and woods and some nearby gardens.
