Luccombe Barn is a lovely detached barn conversation in rolling countryside, on the edge of Exminster.
The barn offers exudes country style living - from the terracotta floors, beamed ceiling and royal blue Aga in the kitchen to the stylish living room with wood burning stove. The two bedrooms are very comfortable with plenty of room to accommodate five people.
Outside doesn't disappoint either, the pretty lawned gardens dip down to a lake (there is a fence in between) and the wooden deck is a lovely spot for a little alfresco dining and relaxing while taking in the beautiful views.
If you're planning on exploring this beautiful area of South Devon, don't miss out on Topsham. This former shipbuilding port on the River Exe still has a strong maritime feel, with 17C Dutch-style merchant houses and the antiques centre on the quay is well worth a rummage.
Head to Dawlish, just 8 miles away with its fabulous beaches and magnificent coastline and the historic city of Exeter with excellent shopping and beautiful cathedral is 5 miles away.
Luccombe Barn is in a lovely spot, the nearby village has three pubs, some good shops, a post office and garage. There's also a 9 hole golf course and driving range.
A real feature of the property is the option for fishing… almost from the doorstep. Guests can cast away from a number of coarse fishing lakes where they can arrange to fish for Carp, Tench and Roach.
Luccombe Barn is fabulous and is a great option for couples and families looking for a relaxing break in the country, close to the coast and amenities.

we had a great stay and we will go again.
We had the opportunity to meet the owner of the cottage and she was very welcoming. The cottage really felt like a home which was lovely to come home to at the end of the long day trips we had. Would recommend this cottage to friends and will be going back there again. Hopefully without storm Brian. Lovely cottage that felt like home. Great central location for Lyme Regis, Dawlish, and the Moors. Felt safe and secure at night behind the locked gates. The rooms were a great size too and our 9 year old loved the fact the fishery, lakes, birds, pheseants, and sheep were on our door stop too.
