Totnes is a delightful market town in the heart of the South Hams. A vibrant and bohemian destination with a mainline railway station and many individual shops and vegetarian and vegan cafes. La Chaumiere is a charming Grade II Listed cottage close to the a River Dart which flows through the town.
The cottage is in a great location both for exploring Totnes and for venturing further afield to Dartmoor or the coast with Dartmouth and Ashburton both about a 30 minute drive away.
La Chaumiere is a lovely well presented holiday property with a rear courtyard, perfect for a little alfresco breakfast or dinner… a lovely two bedroom bolthole!
Living Room: Spacious well presented with 2 seater sofa and chairs, side table, wall mounted flatscreen freeview TV, sound system, Wi-Fi.
Kitchen/Dining Room: At the rear of the property with access leading out to the rear courtyard. Fitted electric cooker with gas hob, washing machine and free-standing fridge with freezer compartment. Dining table and 4 chairs.
Bedrooms first floor:
Bedroom 1: At the front of the property, double divan bed with bedside cabinets, side lights, built-in wardrobe and chair.
Bedroom 2: To the rear of the property has two full sized single beds, bedside cabinet, side light, large freestanding triple wardrobe.
Bathroom: White suite comprising of a panelled bath with electric shower over, low level WC. and a pedestal washbasin with illuminated mirror over.
Outside: Enclosed rear south facing raised patio area. An ideal place for 'alfresco' dining leading directly off the kitchen and dining room.
Parking:There is no parking with this property but there is on street parking available but this is restricted during the day. There is also a pay and display car park located close by.
Facilities and services: WiFi connection available. Bed linen and towels provided. (Beach towels not provided.) Arr/Dep. For weekly bookings is Friday. Short breaks available in low and mid season, minimum 3 nights. 7 miles to the coast. No smoking. Will allow one pet. Enclosed garden.
This property has a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £200, which is payable to Marsdens Devon Cottages with the final balance of your holiday, eight weeks prior to your arrival, and is refunded within 5 working days of your departure. Alternatively, you may wish to pay a non-refundable Accidental Damage Deposit Waiver equivalent to 10% of the Accidental Damage Deposit value, which covers you for the full value of the Accidental Damage Deposit, should any damage occur during your stay.
Everything very nice. Perhaps a parking permit to be given to sets of guest that is exchanged at the end of the stay. Otherwise all good. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.
