One of Woolacombe's newest attractions, this compact entertainment park offers families a whole range of fun experiences, from self-piloted pirate boats (think dodgems on water), to quad bikes, pirate-blasting high-powered water-canon games, racing cars and pirate-themed crazy golf. Yes, there are a lot of pirates here. Amid all the action, it can come as a bit of a surprise to see the notice that makes it clear that well-behaved pirate-pursuing pooches are just as welcome here as two-legged ankle biters, although they're not allowed on the quad bikes and have to promise not to run off with the golf balls.
Situated right on the sea front, it is a good option if the wind comes in and makes the beach a bit uncomfortable, or if the family just fancy something a bit different to do. Rides are purchased via tokens (£1.50 per token, £5 for five, £10 for 12 or £20 for 30). And, while the kids and the canines are giving the pirates merry hell, the adults can spend whatever hidden treasure and pieces of silver they may have been able to keep hold of on cream teas and coffees.
