Hello and welcome to Marsdens Devon Cottages!
We have been providing holiday cottages in North Devon for over 40 years, and during that time we have built up a local, friendly, and knowledgeable team that will be on-hand to help you with any queries.
With over 350 VisitEngland graded holiday cottages for you to choose from, ranging from quaint old fishing cottages for two, to larger properties ideal for families and larger groups, we are confident that we can provide you with the perfect home away from home.
Did you know? We also have a great selection of Cornish cottages for you to choose from. To view our Cornish portfolio click here.
We have tried to make booking one of our cottages as simple as possible for you. All of our cottages can be booked either online or over the phone. If you wish to book online, simply access the ‘find a cottage’ box above, and enter your location, dates and party size. You are also able to make an advanced search, offering you additional options, by clicking the small arrow next to ‘find a cottage.’
Alternatively you can book over the phone, and speak to one of our local team members in Braunton. They will be able to help you select your ideal holiday cottage, and then make the booking for you over the phone.
Whereabouts in Devon are your cottages?
The majority of our cottages are located across North Devon, with a large number along the North Devon coastline. Croyde, Woolacombe and Ilfracombe are three very popular coastal destinations. Croyde is a laid back village which comes alive during the summer months, and is a haven for beach lovers and surfers. Woolacombe is the perfect destination for families, and Ilfracombe can provide tourist attractions like ‘Verity.’
We also have cottages in many other North Devon locations including, Braunton, Lynton, Lynmouth, Mortehoe and Appledore, just to name a few. All of our cottages are within easy driving distance of many of these locations, meaning you can enjoy all of them during your stay.
Do you have any cottages that are pet-friendly?
Over half of our cottages are pet-friendly, allowing you to bring your four-legged friend. We know how much pets mean to you, and want them to be able to explore North Devon. In the area you will find a host of attractions, walks, and beaches that are all pet-friendly. In fact at Marsdens Devon Cottages, we love pets so much; we have created a map full of pet-friendly cottages, pubs, walks, beaches and attractions. The map can be viewed here.
Can you offer accommodation for larger groups?
We have a range of properties that can accommodate larger groups, whether that is large group of friends, or a couple of families wanting to get away for a week. For larger groups we have properties that are suitable for 6-12 people. We also have lots of properties that are within a close proximity of each other, and if you call us, we will be able to try and book two nearby cottages together at the same time.
What is there to do in North Devon?
How long are you planning to stay? That is the question. There is so much to do in North Devon, whether you are a couple, family or group of friends, there is something for everyone. Of course, the main draw of North Devon is the spectacular coastline. Starting from Lynton and Lynmouth, known as Little Switzerland, you can work your way along the coastline taking in Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Croyde, Braunton, Instow and many more. You can experience this journey in the car, or on foot. The South West Coast Path runs all the way along the coastline and is a unique chance to enjoy the beauty of North Devon on your own two feet.
All of these coastal locations will provide something a little different. If you are a keen surfer then Croyde with its large surfing community and fabulous surf is the place for you. If you are hoping to grab that typical British seaside feel then Woolacombe is the ideal choice.
If you have kids to entertain and you are looking for attractions, then North Devon can also provide a host of those. We have compiled a list of family attractions for you to view here.
Or simply, just relax whilst you are here, and enjoy the maritime climate.
