Discover both Dorset and Devon when staying in this wonderfully rural location, exploring the stunning Jurassic Coast which connects the two counties and all of the wonderful beaches dotted on its shores. Perfectly appointed for a romantic retreat, this cosy cottage has been decorated with two guests in mind. Spend a cosy evening cuddled up by the wood burner throughout the winter months, resting and recharging after long hikes and bike rides in the surrounding beauty spots. Alternatively, spend afternoons on the beach before returning to unwind in the cottage’s enclosed garden.

Filled to the brim with traditional design elements and nods to its nautical location, this characterful cottage will leave you feeling instantly at home from the moment you cross its threshold. The hub of this house is the open-plan living space with a kitchen, lounge and diner, at the heart of which is an authentic wood burner. Cook and enjoy a romantic meal for two at the dining table before settling down to enjoy your favourite shows on the smart TV. The first floor beckons you when it’s time for bed, and a double bedroom set under the eaves of the barn conversion property is the perfect place to catch forty winks before another busy day ahead.

Find plenty to see and do in the historic town of Lyme Regis (1.5 miles), a traditional seaside spot with walks along the seafront and pebble shores that welcome sunbathing, swimming and water sports. From here you can access the famous Jurassic Coast. Follow the coastal path along to Seaton (9 miles) and admire the scenery as charming Dorset gives way to beautiful Devon. Venture inland and explore the heart of the East Devon AONB (10 miles), a wonderful region of countryside with ever-changing scenery to explore.

A lovely cottage in a quiet secluded setting. Great walk over a couple fields and then on the river path into Lyme Regis but be warned its uphill on the way back!

Absolutely delighted with the cottage and especially the very thoughtful "welcome pack" including fresh milk in the fridge! Lovely break in a splendid location and we will certainly consider re-visiting in the future.

The cottage was lovely with many nice touches, well equipped kitchen, bathroom & bedroom & beautiful patio & shared garden areas. The location was excellent, with great access to many lovely walking trails & easy access to Lyme Regis. Our only criticism was the ageing cutlery ( handles falling off & no spares) & much of the crockery which was old aRead morend chipped. I would, however, definitely stay here again!! Hide

Quiet location within easy reach of Lyme Regis. Most time was spent in Lyme swimming, walking and general pottering. There are other beaches nearby along the coastline.

Loved the location, peace, amenities. One of us, as a keen walker, walked everywhere. The other needed to drive to the Park and Ride, and could not have walked into the town and back. Wonder if your descriptions of time/effort are a little unrealistic for most? Lucky to see Grimethorpe Band at the theatre, as well as the local brass band on the proRead morem on Tuesday evening. This is a lovely cottage set in a beautiful location. The park and ride at the top of the lane was a bonus. This was not so much a holiday but a house hunting trip so we didn't get to experience all the area had to offer but did enjoy our walk into Lyme Regis.

The cottage was in a beautiful location with everything we needed. The hills around Lyme Regis are steep but the views are beautiful. The small patio is a lovely place to relax, have a meal or drink.

Barnaby cottage is a really lovely cottage in the quietest of settings so if its peace and quiet you want its perfect. The welcome pack was great. Thank you. Plenty of info available to make the stay enjoyable. All mod cons and so nice to have a proper freezer. The mile walk from the cottage to Lyme is down hill and scenic. Coming back by the same Read moreroute is not for the faint hearted but lovely nonetheless. Loads of eateries and coffee shops. We had a super stay & would definitely come again. Hide

Delightful cottage perhaps some attention could be given to the front courtyard garden .Dead rose bushes in a weedy trough is not a good look especially when compared with the next door one ! Some touching up of paint is needed inside also the sealant around the bath needs attention . We appreciated the very clear instructions regarding the T V .anRead mored other devices. THANK YOU . A lovely quiet location with some beautiful outside space and immediate access to some good walks. I suggest that you like walking, otherwise you might find it a bit of a trek into Lyme Regis. I stayed here for 4 weeks and found the cottage homely and warm in a very pleasant and relaxing setting. Everything you need for a short or long stay is provided. Mobile signal is fine and broadband works well. Check in was easy with excellent communication from the owner. A summer break here would be very enjoyable.
