Stroll from this property and straight down to the pretty riverside in the village of Newton Ferrers, where you can sit in a waterside pub and watch the world go by. Back at the cottage, a beautifully updated former coach house, enjoy an al fresco evening meal in the attractive patio garden to the rear of the property.
Guests step under a stone archway as they approach this former coach house which was used to stable horses in WWI. The exterior of the cottage has been beautifully maintained and retains its period charm, however, the interior of the cottage has a very different feel to it, with fresh contemporary styling giving the accommodation a clean, chic feel. The kitchen/diner is a spacious, light-filled room which opens onto the patio, whilst the lounge is a bright and welcoming space with an understated seaside theme. The bedrooms have been finished in the same style as the living space, with the master bedroom boasting an en-suite shower room.
With its riverside location, choice of pubs, and a handy range of shops including a butchers and convenience store, Newton Ferrers is an idyllic old-fashioned village with a welcoming atmosphere and scenic surroundings. A ferry runs across the creek to the equally attractive neighbouring village of Noss Mayo, from where walks can be taken along the river to the coastal reaches, where more adventurous walkers can reach secluded beaches. For a change of scene, head to the city of Plymouth with its historic hoe, excellent shopping, and art deco lido.
