This delightfully bright and welcoming cottage features a spacious, attractive and elegant open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with plenty of comfortable seating, a traditional wood burner and Smart TV. The property plays host to cosy super king-size bedroom, which can be made into a twin upon request, with an en-suite shower room. Outside you can relax in the private hot tub or enjoy a BBQ on the patio. The cottage also offers an acre of wild garden with an orchard. You are welcome to explore the farmyard and grounds, with lambing taking place at Easter.

Located in the centre of Tarka Country, this lovely property is perfect for keen walkers and cyclists looking to enjoy stunning countryside and breathtaking trails. The market town of Great Torrington is nearby (8.5 miles) and is home to Dartington Crystal, or you could head to Devon’s spectacular northern coast and enjoy the beaches at Saunton (18 miles), Croyde (21 miles) and Westward Ho! (19 miles). Visit RHS Rosemoor Gardens, 10 miles away, or explore the breathtaking Exmoor National Park (16 miles).

Had our first stay at The Piggery this week & thoroughly enjoyed it. The property is perfect for us & our dogs. Its well situated to explore the surrounding areas (Bude & Woolacombe are great for doggy days out). We had iffy weather so didnt do as much as planned but managed to visit some English Heritage castle ruins on the rainy days. Barnstaple Read morebeing about 30 mins away, is great for supermarkets and other amenities such as vets (highly recommend MarketVets, really lovely). Hide

Booked this on a personal representation and we werent disappointed. Fabulous little get away, very well equipped and clean throughout. Online photos are a good representation of what we found on arrival. A great welcome from the owner with everything well explained as necessary was very helpful. The cottage was lovely very well equipped, we had a peaceful rest here. It was quite easy to be found. We did have to travel abit for a Tesco express. There was plenty of beaches near by, and the hosts were very friendly.

Property was beautiful, immaculately furnished with everything you could need. The hot tub was a welcome treat after walking all day, and our dogs enjoyed the walks available on the owners land. Literally home from home. Hosts were beyond helpful and to hand if needed but not invasive on our stay.

Most relaxing holiday ever. Very spacious property, well laid out with everything you need without being cluttered. Also being a pet friendly property, ( we're not pet people ), I was worried it might smell like a wet dog on a hot day as in another property we once stayed at. I needn't have worried. The Piggery offered everything we needed and more! Immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The dog walks were wonderful, lots of safe space for them to be let off. Stunning, modern and clean cottage. Well equipped, the owners had thought of everything. Perfect for dogs with an enclosed patio and on site dog walks. Very rural perfect for those wanting to enjoy the Devon countryside.

Having stayed at 4x 4* cottages with hot tubs in the last 2 years in this local area, this is by far the best. Very clean, hot tub perfect after long days. Great location, really nice to have a welcome basket, excellent facilities. Lots of walks for couples with a 4 legged friend, recommend Saunton, Woolacombe and Lynton and Lynmouth. The house was very pretty as we approached and as we open the door it smelt so clean. The bed was massive and comfy. I would recommend the piggery as a very relaxing retreat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week's holiday at the piggery. Throughout our stay, the owner Ian was very friendly whenever I bumped into him while out walking the dog on the farm. He came to show us the workings of the hot tub and told us where we could walk the dog on the farm at the begining of our stay, then left us to it. The cottage was lovely, in a peaceful and quiet area, however the area does not have much around it, so i would suggest shopping for food before you arrive as the closest supermarket (besides one small spar about 10 mins away) is about half an hour away. Fantastic property and location.........so good this was the 3rd year we have stayed for a fortnight. Was everything we wanted as we needed to relax and have peace and quiet. It was very tranquil .Beautiful the moment we opened the door. Perfectly warm and welcoming. A very comfortable property, well equipped and stylish. It's in a great location, quiet and rural but within very easy reach of several towns and beautiful beaches. If you don't want to drive there are a number of walks directly from the property. Dog friendly and very welcoming owners. The hot tub is perfect after a day exploring the local area.

A beautiful place with a very high standard of finish. Lovely location with plenty of country walks. The owners were very welcoming and had Al so left us a basket of local produce. We would definitely recommend the piggery.

We had an amazing time at the Piggery, it is a lovely place! We got given a hamper with delicious eggs and biscuits! Our Labrador loved exploring all of the fields, especially the meadow! We all felt very chilled and at home in the Piggery. We hope to come again for much longer next time :)

A beautiful holiday home, super clean & very homely with everything you need.We had a wonderful week & would 100% rebook. The home is spacious, modern but cosy with the underfloor heating & log burner. The hot tub is huge & the outdoor patio is fantastic. If you have dogs there isnt really anywhere to walk them after dark apart from the farm lane wRead morehich is pitch black, this is the only issue we had.
